  1. That link leads to a 404. I will look elsewhere on their site. but I have never been able to find anything there.
  2. If it is the same problem I have been having, it is a de-calibration of the roll axis. It works until you have to do a re-start, but after that the roll calibration is de-centered to the right.
  3. I have exactly the same issue and have had it for years. If anybody knows how to fix it, there are at least two of us who would be grateful!
  4. The cloud shadows are my favorite thing in P3D too. I don't get better frame rates with P3D, but it does look better overall. I do kind of agree with JSkorna that there isn't much other than the graphics engine that sets it apart from FSX, but I suspect everyone knows that by now lol. The graphics are good enough for me at this point. I hope that if there is a v3 that it focuses on things like the flight model and realistic ATC.
  5. Does AirTrafficManager allow you to have planes at airports without killing FPS? That would be a real plus.
  6. Just a reminder to all those who say tweaks are bad or unnecessary in P3D v2: LM tells you what and how to tweak right in their learning guide. If they didn't think they worked they wouldn't recommend that you try them. B)
  7. Thanks. I will take a look at the program.
  8. Thanks for your reply! I will have a look for the file. MyTraffic #D can be installed directly without any need for migration tools? That would be great. -edit: Sure enough the file has been switched to traffic.bgl.off. Odd indeed.
  9. I feel like I am in that bad movie The Langoliers! All of the airplanes seem to be missing from major airports in my P3D v2.4. Any ideas as to what to do to make them appear? I have set the slider to 100%, but that hasn't made any difference. Is there something in the config file that might have been changed to give me this issue? Also, are there any traffic programs that work with P3D v2? I know you can make UT2 work, but if I remember correctly that fix disables it in FSX, and I still fly both.
  10. It is time for V 3.0. Let's push the envelope of newer technology instead of pushing the envelope on 8 year old code. I think 2.4 is pretty darn good all things considered (I did not feel that way about 2.0 lol), but it's time for a fresh start.
  11. Flight sim developers sell their products for the highest price we will pay for them, same as everybody else. I agree that the prices are often ridiculously high, but if they couldn't get what they charge they would reduce the price. Basic capitalism at work. I'm not saying I am always a fan of that, but it is just the way it is.
  12. I was getting ooms in 2.2 but haven't had any in 2.4, so far. Flew from Calgary to Vancouver in the Carenado B1900 over Orbx scenery the whole way with ASN weather and REX cloud textures with no issues. But I have no doubt that you folks are having the issues you say that you are. It's a confounding program the way it fails for some but is fine for others.
  13. I've read that faster memory speed helps cure the stutters. Do you think that is true?
  14. The final post says it is no longer supported.
  15. After inserting it back into my config file my cooling fans went nuts. I guess it was doing something! I didn't notice any increased stutter.
  16. One thing I notice is that people are still using different settings. I guess that debate will never end! I had mine at 254 in the past. I enjoy playing around with this stuff almost as much as the actual "flying". Almost.
  17. The performance section of the learning guide says that the P3D v2 now takes advantage of all available cores, so is there any reason to add the affinity mask line to the p3d.cfg file anymore?
  18. 1 If all of my Orbx airports could be converted over I would probably be done with FSX now. I have been a critic in the past but I am satisfied with the product at this point.
  19. Thanks for posting! The Bay of Naples and the Sorrentine Penninsula is one of my favorite places in the world.
  20. Cycling the scenery in FTX Central did the trick! Thank you.
  21. Nope, only to 1300. I will give the bigger numbers a try.
  22. I didn't have that line in my fsx.cfg at all, or the one for buildings. I added both (with higher numbers than you have), and more trees did appear, but there are still areas that should be tree covered that are not. This is especially evident in the Orbx scenery areas. I re-installed the Orbx scenery but that had no impact either.
  23. Thank you for the reply. I haven't touched my cfg in a while, but I will check and see if it has been changed.
  24. Almost all of the trees have vanished from my scenery in FSX. It doesn't matter whether I run default or Orbx scenery, only a few stands of trees are visible even where there should be dense forest. And yes, I have moved the autogen slider all the way to the right. I can't think of any changes I have made to my installation in the last several weeks, but something has gone all lumberjack on me. This is a new one for me. Any suggestions would be most appreciated.
