  1. Hi, Me too I would like to reduce the glare and brightness. I had EyeAdaption in Usercfg.opt set to 1 (ON) and I have just set it to 0 (OFF). There is a tiny improvement for the outside view (less bright), but the trade-off is a darker cockpit. Like the OP, on my computer I cannot access HDR. In windows settings I have Stream HDR = no Use HDR = no Use WCG Apps = no I'm not knowledgeable in 'Reshade tweak settings' and alike. And I don't want to mess things. Any news or other method identified to reduce the Glare and Brightness, since last March?
  2. Thanks for raising that. I was wondering if I was alone to find the controls too sensitive.
  3. Thanks Kerry. Even if the livery is in the master product folder, I imagine you can use it to fly?
  4. Hi, Can you please confirm that this livery is included in the Carenado C337 for MSFS? I ask the question because I found this WIP screenshot on the web, but the livery is not part of the screenshots on the Carenado website.
  5. Thank you all for the great replies. Much appreciated! My synthesis is that: Overall everybody is happy with the PMDG 737 The graphics are on par with the P3D version or a little bit improved, but can be sharper and a little more high fidelity FPS wise, there is no noticeable impact. Kudos to PMDG who met the challenge to make a simulation running smoothly on old/vintage rigs. And the same to Asobo since PMDG has probably leveraged on the native fluid property of MSFS Thanks again to all, my questions have been answered. At this time, having the P3D version of the 737 and many payware sceneries, the whole still providing to me a consistent, immersive and enjoyable flying experience, I think I will wait some time before hitting the Buy button for the MSFS version. (I also want to see if there will be some significant improvements for the PMDG 777. Yes I know, it's not going to be released before next year).
  6. Hi, Sorry I have not had the courage to dig in all the 737 threads. I have 2 questions: 1. Graphics: regarding the VC, would you say that the graphics are a LITTLE bit improved or MUCH improved compared to the P3D version? I'm especially interested in the textures, PFD and gauges: clarity, crispness, legibility fluidity of display, etc. I don't care about the passengers cabin and I already know that the external model is excellent 2. FPS: my specs are i5 4670K 4.3 Ghz l RAM 32 Gb l GTX 1080 l 2K G-Sync monitor and I achieve 30-40 fps in GA aircrafts. I wonder if my system will be able to run the 737 with decent framerate without lowering too much the graphics sliders. Thanks.
  7. Apparently something went wrong. You should receive an email like below. You will get faster support on their Discord. 8. Agree. I mentioned it just for information only as the main TDS software is not quite standalone (contrary to the PMS). Milviz C310, JF Piper Warrior and Carenado Mooney for me. C337 next month 😉
  9. I made a quick study recently to purchase a GPS, please find below a quick high level synthesis of what I have found. First, the developers who sell GPS for FSX/P3D, namely Flight1 and Reality XP, do not have any offer for MSFS. Second, there is an alternative to PMS50, which is TDS Sim: https://tdssim.com PMS50 Model simulated: GTN750 Development: from scratch Degree of fidelity: not all the features of the real Garmin are currently present Free version: YES but with only 'basic' features' Database: 'regularly' updated as I understand Aircrafts ready for virtual cockpit integration: https://pms50.com/msfs/aircrafts/ Impact on FPS: normally rather marginal Pricing: One year – 25.00€, Lifetime – 75.00€ TDS Sim Model simulated: GTN 750Xi and GTN 650Xi (high-resolution display, vivid colours, and additional features compared to the GTN750).The GTNXi is an evolution to the GTN GPS. Development: based on the Garmin Trainer that needs to be installed Degree of fidelity: the features of the real Garmin are supposed to be present, even the enhanced features of the real Xi version (eg. glide prediction) Free version: NO Database: dependant from Garmin Trainer (one update every couple of years as I understand) Aircrafts ready for virtual cockpit integration: https://tdssim.com/gtnxivcintegration Impact on FPS: normally rather marginal Pricing: €59,94 EUR (Both 750 and 650 models are included in the same package) That's all I can think of. If I made a mistake or missed a key information, other mates will be able to add or comment.
  10. Hi everyone, In FSX/P3D, the ball of the Turn Coordinator was way too reactive and its movement was exaggerated. Now in MSFS, it has a lot of inertia. When I do* a 10-20 degrees bank turn, the ball sticks to the center without the need to action the rudders... I think the exaggeration is now the other way? * with Just Flight Piper, Carenado Mooney, Milviz C310. What do you think mates?
  11. It is often said that Airbus is for Engineers, and Boeing for Pilots 😉
  12. Thanks all for participating to this thread. Thanks for the 15:24 tip, Bill. I'll give it a try 🙂
  13. A new version (1.0.1.8) of the TDS GTNXi released today provides a fix to the Autopilot/GPS issue with the Just Flight Pipers.
  14. Hi everyone, I'm not a night flyer (except for transcontinental flights) and my preferred time for (VFR) flying in the sim is either early morning or late afternoon/early evening. The reasons are: 1. The landscape is beautiful at dawn/dusk, the light is sweet and easy on the eyes, except if you look at the sun of course. By the way, I noticed that many promo screenshots are done at dawn/dusk. 2. At other times of the day, the light is 'blinding' and the scenery is kind of 'washed'. But perhaps that's the way it is in real life. How about you guys? I'm curious.
  15. As a poster said, in the past years Taxi2Gate took the habit to dive for a time, then surfaced to release 3-4 sceneries, then dive again... For Imaginesim, that's right but I confess that I will not miss them.
  16. Yes, sorry I have not used the appropriate verb/noun (port). I meant 'create' from the ground up new sceneries for MSFS using the new SDK, the new techniques, etc. New sceneries representing some airports they have already done in the past (eg. LFPG).
  17. Any news from Taxi2Gate regarding the port of their existing products to MSFS?
  18. Having migrated recently to MSFS, I was surprised that my modest PC (i5 4670K 4.3 Ghz l RAM 32 Gb l GTX 1080 l 2K G-Sync monitor) can run MSFS smoothly (but with CPU and GPU at 100%). Most of my graphics sliders are on ULTRA, a few ones on HIGH or MEDIUM. At this time I'm flying GA aircrafts in small/medium airfields on clear skies and achieve 30-40 fps. In the end: Less is more. That is: Less tweaking* is more flying. * compared to FSX/P3D
  19. I don't know why but I installed the TDS for the Carenado Mooney and now it works. Maybe there's some kind of conflict with the dual configuration 750/650 in the JustFlight Piper. EDIT1 : apparently I'm not alone, I found a thread to read on the TDS forum http://forum.tdssim.com/thread-166.html EDIT2 : the issue is related to the State Saving function of the Just Flight Piper Thanks to all.
  20. Thanks both, I have tried your recommandations. The actual NAV/GPS has no effect on the GTN, but reversely the CDI button on the GTN commands the actual NAV/GPS. Connect GPS to VOR", to VOR1: done. I don't achieve to get 'GPS' displayed on the GTN.
  21. Hi, I made my first purchase on the Store/Market today: the Carenado M20R Ovation. It installed through the Content Manager but unlike other addons (aircrafts, sceneries, utilities...) I bought from Orbx, Simmarket, or from the developers, it did not install in the Community folder. Where did it install? Maybe it did not install in the Community folder because the files are encrypted or something?
  22. Many thanks Bill, much appreciated. The issue I have is when I click on the CDI source in the 750, it goes briefly to GPS, then revert to VLOC.
  23. A quick feedback. I have identified a new utility: simFFB (click here). Might be useful for you. But for me installation and usage are not clear. I tried AirForce Player but could not achieve to get it work. I tried XP Force, it works... but how to say... it does not provide a good feel as Russel Dirks' FS Force. So I think I'll end up flying without Force Feedback until MSFS supports it OR Russel Dirks changes his mind and makes a FS Force for MSFS.
