Hi mates, I have P3D 4.5 but by nostalgia and love of the RealAir Scout, FlyTampa Grenadines and FSAddon Tongass Fjords X, I have re-installed FSX and do still enjoy bush flying in the sim 🙂 The issue I have is that after some flying time or after having used several times the menu, it does not display anymore (but still working with keyboard shortcuts, eg. CTRL+C) OR there is a black screen (but no Crash To Desktop). And when the menu works and I try to load another aircraft or airport, I get some graphics oddities (panel or scenery, see screenshot below). My system: Windows 10, i5 4670k 4.3 Ghz, GTX 1080, RAM 32 Gb. I have read the forum, searched on Gooogle and already tried: - Installed the sim on C:\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\ - Acceleration installed - Main sim and Acceleration registered successfully thanks to the 'PartMgr' trick - Installed latest NVIDIA drivers - Run As Admin - Run in compatibility mode Windows 7, Vista, etc. - Remove fsx folder from antivirus scanning - DX10 Preview ticked and unticked - Fullscreen/Windowed - ALT+ENTER - Delete/Rebuild FSX.cfg - Installed UIAutomationCore.dll in the root of FSX folder It is a fresh install and the only addons I have are: RealAir Scout, FlyTampa Grenadines and FSAddon Tongass Fjords X, FSUIPC, ChasePlane I don't know what else I can do? Any help would be much appreciated.

Sure, I agree with you if we consider the LM's perspective. However in this case, it is a simmer (the OP) who raises the point. And from a simmer point of view, there is indeed a new player on the flightsimming market who is doing better communication than the old one.

I would say: The question arises since there is a new player on the market that is doing better communication. That being said, P3D is still my goto sim for at least 1-2 years 🙂

Another hint:during long haul flights, maybe a screensaver or a program starts in the background and slows down your PC?

Just a hint for investigation: maybe a side effect from a camera utility (EZDOK, Chaseplane...) ?

Hi Paul, You need to be more specific: Which version of the PMDG 737? Which version of P3D?

@Rogue Trooper I'm not sure it's related to MSFS. My assumption is that the developers have been quite busy (for quite a while now) with professional contracts, neglecting/abandoning the home/leisure market. On the one hand, I can understand that, since the professsional market must be more profitable. On the other hand, it's a shame since Dodosim started with the home market. Oh well, I will continue to fly choppers in DCS...

It's true that they did not say that they would leave P3D. But focusing the announcement on MSFS and not saying explicitly that they will continue to support/improve their existing aircrafts for P3Dv4/v5 can make P3D users feel unsecured and concerned. Hence this thread by the OP. Regarding the 'mystery aircraft', an announcement saying that it would be available for P3D, would be a positive signal to P3D users. Finally, regarding Global Flight Operations, even if there was no news recently, it is already known that it will be compatible with P3D. That's good news 🙂

It should be noted that performance increase is observed by the majority of users. But not all. I'm in the minority that have not observed a performance gain. Regarding the stability, V4 is also very stable so it is not a differentiating factor.

My understanding is that : 1) You cannot upgrade from v4.5 to v5.1 by overwriting the former 2) You have to purchase v5+ as a separate, additional platform

Hi, I've done a donation to AVSIM 30 min ago. It has been logged on the donation page. What is a bit strange is that I paid though Paypal and usually the notification is sent within minutes after the transaction. At this time (30 min after the transaction) I have received no notification, and yes I have already checked my spam folder in case. PS: I had no idea on where to post this other than in this forum.
