Hi, I would be interested to read what owners think of Quality Wings 787 Service Pack 4. I've been contemplating to buy the beast but refrained so far a a couple of reasons. One of which being the refresh rate of the gauges limited to 18Hz. That is still the case I believe?

Is it plausible that sometimes in the future you will add 1 or 2 new tugs?

I tried V5 and in my particular case I did not see a significant performance improvement with my GTX 1080 8Gb. I was unhappy with the Enhanced Atmospherics (EA). And finally the default scenery enhancements were not obvious to my eyes. So I reverted to V4.5 and enjoy all the sceneries and aircrafts available for V4.

Thanks micstatic for the info and the direct links. Premium service 😉 Actually after my earlier post, I realized that I had a fps hit that was not negligible, that was solved by the T2G fix. Thanks T2G Team.

Ah yes right Benjamin, I forgot the upgrade of 12 euros (14.4 incl. VAT) for VHHH.

For FSX P3DV3 users, there was a 6€ fee for upgrading to the P3DV4 version. So I think it would be approximately the same for V5, unless there are big changes. A fee of 6€ seems reasonable to me.

Hi Hoang, Thanks for the offer. Why he cannot create an account here on AVSIM? So I purchased VVTS last week-end to see what the scenery really looks like compared to the screenshots. And also to support him. I have several comments/ suggestions: 1. In the readme file and also in the installer, he says: "THANKS FOR PURCHASING MY PRODUCT. IF HAVING ANY PROBLEM CONTACT ME VIA MAILBOX OR INBOX". But he does not give his email adddress. 2. Maybe the readme text files naming and content could be better formatted to give a more professional look. 3. We are instructed to "STEP 3: COPY THE TEXTURE FOLDER TO YOUR SIM DIRECTOR ". So I understand that I have to copy the files in P3D\Texture. Problem is that the textures he wants the user to copy-paste do already exist in the P3D\Texture, at least they have the same naming. I do not want to override my default textures with his textures. So at this time, I cannot enjoy yet his scenery. Sorry if I am not very literate with manual installation but the sceneries I buy have full automated installers. 4. Sceenshots of the scenery on Simmarket: I notice that he added some screenshots on daytime, as per previous discussion, which is good. Now the screenshots are pixelated and hence do not value the scenery. He should increase the anti-aliasing or if he does not have the appropriate hardware, then ask somebody to make the screenshots for him. 5. Maybe he should focus on 1 or 2 sceneries (eg. Tan Son Nhat, Noi Bai) and improve his techniques instead of working on many sceneries at once (Phu Quoc, Vinh...) ? 6. Why not liaising with Thai Creations or Flying Bear Studio who used to create some vietnamese airports (but are apparently now inactive), to leverage on their experience?

PMDG, FSL, and other high end aircrafts are maybe not sufficient but required. Once their aicrafts are available in MSFS, users will tend to follow. And if users follow, other addon developers, attracted by the volume of users, will follow to clear the obstables and provide whatever is needed (camera system, etc.)

Hi Bryan, If one day you decide to give more choice for the tug model, please consider a TPX 200. I like it a lot. PMDG planes have TPX 200 for pushback. But I use UCGX 🙂

From external view the grass looks a bit tall indeed. But from a B737 deck, that did not annoy me.

Got KIND today and just finished a KIAD-KIND. It's not often that I do a US domestic flight ; I confess that the landscape was a bit boring on this one. Hey don't we me wrong, I like a lot the US 🙂 The scenery is great and it's T2G usual quality. I feel the texture are somewhat improved compared to older sceneries by T2G. I'm happy with KIND on my P3Dv4.5. And also happy to support a developer that keep supporting us, P3D users 😍 Regarding fps, my approach on the 32 was fluid. During taxi I noticed some fps hit at times during quick turns towards part of the scenery with lots of objects. But during straight taxi at normal speed, I did not notice anything particular. I have an old i7 4670K, GTX 1080, 32 Gb, P3D settings 3/4 or full to the right. All in all, compared to other sceneries by T2G, FlyTampa or FB, I cannot say this one is a fps killer.

Hi, I uninstalled ASCA by Hifi and re-installed P3Dv4.5 Content to revert to P3D default clouds It seems that the ASCA clouds textures are not completely gone. How can I make sure to revert to P3D clouds?

And "medium core" simmer please 🙂 And also... beginners. It's just that it does not come with lessons and is not mission oriented, agree. However the software and user interface is not so complex and there are plenty of resources on the web to learn to fly.

Hi Bryan, Until recently I have not read this General forum. The reason is that I check only, now and then, the 777, NGXu and UCGX forums corresponding to the products I own. Moreover I am a happy user on all those products 🙂 so I don't check the forums often. I want to say: kudos for your very regular product updates on the General forum! Additionally, you have my respect for the so many products not only developed, but also maintained and supported across so many platforms.

I can understand that they cannot reply individually and immediately to every posts. Also some issues need further analysis (hence time) before they can give a firm answer (fix or not fix). Let's remember that the update and 200ER were released only one week ago and that they released already a series of fixes very quickly through the OC.

I hope I am not too much off topic but I am thinking about the future of the PMDG 777. There are of course are the fixes following the reports of the community, and the improvements already planned (LNAV...) And there is also the upgrade of the virtual cockpit to bring the 777 to the current standard. I wonder if : 1) The upgrade will be free for all 777 owners 2) All 777 owners will have to pay for the upgrade 3) The 777-200ER owners will be entitled to a free upgrade while the other will have to pay for the upgrade Options 2 and 3 will mechanically make part of the population unhappy. Tough business decision for RSR!
