Hi everybody, Last year I bought more than half a dozen of sceneries but only 1 aircraft (the PMDG NGXu in december). I've decided 2 years ago to fly only high end quality aircrafts and my stable currently includes two A2A G/A aircrafts (C172 and Bonanza) and two airliners (PMDG 777 and 737). And I'm quite happy with that on my P3D v4.5 🙂 Next year, if I get bored or want for a bit of change, I might get the Xtreme Prototypes' Learjet. How about you?

Hi Ken, As far as I know, that plane is not especially popular/reputed in the community for its grahics, avionics or flight model. EUR 21.96 rather sets this plane in the low-medium price tag. For example PMDG and FS Labs aircrafts are over USD 100.

For weather, Active Sky for P3D v4/5 is the way to go. It's a no brainer. For Rex Sky force 3d, ASCA or Truesky, it depends on your taste... difficult to say. Personally I've tried Rex Sky force 3d. It's ok but once I had to reinstall my sim and decided to go with the default sky and clouds, etc. that are not so bad. envtex and envshade : they change the color, lights... It's beautiful on screenshots but I was not impressed. Plus addon aircrafts developers (eg. PMDG, Aerosoft) do not recommend the use of shaders to avoid potential problems. Of course you will find guys using shaders and who do not have problems. Personally I decided that I can do without them.

No worries, many of us have been through pause then come-back 😉 FS Global Ultimate is a distinct product and provides a mesh worldwide. It has nothing to do with OpenLC (landclass). However FS Global Ultimate has been designed to be compatible with OrbX products. If you mostly fly liners, you don't need it. You might also encounter flatten problem at 3rd party addons airports even if FS Global Ultimate comes with a "fix-it" functionality. And welcome back in the community 🙂

Hi Bryan... and Happy New Year! I'm using button control. I set myself the trim. For my flights it is usually beetween 5.4x and 5.5x. (x being a second decimal). At the "STAB TRIM -SET" stage, the Captain always says "six point zero unit". Is that normal, taking into account the difficulty you mentioned above? Is that related to what is said in the manual: Note: The Stabilizer trim will only accept a trim setting to one decimal place. So 5.0 Units will work, but not 5.55 units. You are supposed to be looking at the trim handle, not the CDU for the trim setting. I do not quite understand that because, for me, the FMC indicates a 2 decimals trim value. And so does the trim wheel.

AFAIK Dodosim all started with the entertainment market (FS2004, FSX). But since they succeeded on the professional market, the entertainment users were simply forgotten. That's really sad.

Hi, Can you confirm that the clean way to uninstall a scenery is : 1) Launch P3D 2) Disable the scenery in the Addons menu 3) Disable or Delete "'areas" related to the scenery, when possible 4) Quit P3D 5) Launch scenery uninstaller

I've never used Make Runways. Do you mean that in this case I should use it?

When I land on FlyTampa VHHX Runway 13, the RAAS says: "on taxiway, on taxiway...". I know it is an old and demised airport but is there a trick to avoid that specifically on VHHX Runway 13?

I was happy that they updated Hong Kong VHHH earlier this year. Would love that they update Istanbul Airport (LTBA) for P3Dv4.

I have been using Active Sky for ages. Currently I have P3Dv4.5 and ASP4 and I am happy of the product. However by reading the description of the new release and the explanation by Damian: I confess that I don't understand what are the concrete improvements. Maybe it is only me. If someone understood, can you please share your understanding in a clear and non technical or cryptic language? That would help me to decide whether I need to shoot my credit card or not. I also confess that I am a medium-core simmer, and also I am not a weather specialist.
