I have found that there is a Vancouver CYVR by FSimStudios on sale at €20 at Orbx, that is twice the price of FSDT CYVR. For some personal reasons I don't want to buy CYVR FSDT product. I've never bought anything from FSimStudios but the screenshots look good and there's some additional scenery around the airport (city, etc.). How does FSimStudios compare to FlyTampa, Flightbeam, Taxi2Gate, Pacsim products (which I own)? How about FPS? Thanks.

Many thanks Bob. I got the user manual in the download section. For some reasons, I don't like GSX. I'll try the P3D Add-ons menu that triggers SODE jetway operation. What do you mean by "IK "? What does it stand for? I don't understand.

And when I do CTRL+J to order a jetway deployment, it is the P3D functionality that operates and not SODE? Correct?

Hehe Benjamin, the expert in asian airports and sceneries 😉 The old Kai Tak by FlyTampa is excellent. Problem is that the current AIRAC don't have SID/STAR for it anymore since the airport have been demised, so you would have to manually tweak files for the airliners FMC, etc. But there is guidance on how to do it on the net.

Hi fellow simmers, Whilst SODE has been available for some time now, I have not pay too much attention to it so far, having other simming priorities. I have several SODE compatible airports and each installed the SODE software. I've been on the SODE website https://sode.12bpilot.ch/ but did not find any user material (there's only a developer guide). I saw that 12BPILOT, the company behind SODE, also sells a visual docking guidance systems (VDGS). I'm a bit confused. Two questions: 1. As I understand, SODE is roughly said an engine that allows enhanced animations for airports? 2. How do I operate the SODE jetways features for my compatible airports?

In the sim, go to menu Help > About Lockheed Martin P3D. You should read 4.5.14.34698 If you have version 4 then yes; you will have to pay for version 5.

I prefer everything or nothing. The risk with smaller packages is that after 1 or 2 they stop. I don't want to have 50% of Asia.

jaytee73 : many thanks for updating us. I did not quite understand if the roadmap will be presented this year or later? The roadmap will probably answer to the question "one delivery for the whole Asia or several small deliveries ?". In case of several deliveries, it hope it will be no more than 2-3. I can remember that in the past, there was first openLC USA, then Alaska/Canada, and later one and only product for North America.

I love the US default voice of the (older) captain in FS2Crew for the 777. It is just perfect. Now in UCGX the captain voice is from a younger captain. I don't like it so much and it is not consistent with the voice of the 777 captain. I mean: for immersion it should be the same voice. I just wanted to share because I am aware that there are many voices for the different FS2Crew products and you have to make a choice. Additionally the voice actor may not be available when required. Plus the commercial considerations, and so on...

Hehe Benjamin, I recognize you being a fan of Asian sceneries, landclass, etc. Me too I would love a decent/good Tan Son Nhat (Ho Chi Minh City) and Noi Bai (Hanoi) airports. Pacsim quality would do for me. I just got their Incheon and Taiwan airports. Next and last one will be Manila and I will be done/happy with my asian airports collection.

Hi mates, I own the PMDG 777 and I am considering to get the QW B787. 1. I know there is an option to get HD displays. Is there a huge difference with the 'standard' display? 2. It seems to me that there is an option to change the colour of the PFD (I'm refering to the blue for sky and brown for earth). Is that correct? 3. I'm very used to the PMDG system for Fuel, payload, ground equipment management, aircraft and simulations options, etc.... All is done conveniently through the FMC. I'm wondering if it's the same for the QW787 or is it managed by several external utilities? 4. Is is possible to load a .rte file generated by PFPX? (in the same manner as for for the PMDG 777)? For airports, indeed Orly by Jetstream Design and Taxi2Gate Charles De Gaulle Airport are good. Anyway you don't have other choice for those airports.

I have the default P3D flight loaded at startup and then load a saved situation (the 777 is at the gate, with a cold and dark status loaded from the PMDG FMC). But I've never had problem doing so. It seems to me that I read in the manual that the copilot FMC should not be used. Now I use it to display the LEGS page. But even doing so, I don't have any problem with flaps 30. OK, I'll do some tests. If you don't hear again from me in this thread that would mean that I have discovered nothing of interest. Otherwise I'll post here.

I was kidding you but indeed it is best to have the scenery to reproduce a problem. Thanks in advance for the coming update. But currently, UCGX works fine on all the addon airports I have used so far 🙂

No I am not doing single engine failures. I use flaps 20 because I like to land at higher speed. I'll use flaps 30 then to avoid the display issue.

Today I flew with a flap 30 config and I got the "landing checklist" displayed correctly.

Manuel, how many airports addons have you bought for the purpose of reproducing user's problem? 😉
