  1. I was indeed mislead with the word! Thank you for the explanation!!
  2. I'm stun (no pun intended) with this story. Do you think it was a lighting strike from outside or static electricity building up (for example due to the aircraft moving in the air) and discharging inside the cockpit?
  3. I was struck with the same darkening views a while back and didn't thought this was, but yes it was indeed, XP11 hypoxia simulation being enabled and me forgetting about it!
  4. I don't know when they'll publish their update, but we're also preparing ours in order to provide them additional data they can pick from and display. Unfortunately, we're right now also stuck from releasing this update because of the TG+RXP issue which is also being worked on and being resolved, and I don't want to release 2 updates a few weeks apart. PS: for the TG+RXP issue: https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/602533-gtn750gns430-xp1155r2-tg-freeze-resolving/?do=findComment&comment=4574441 For this one, those having reported the problem are being handed a TG test build which seems to be working but we don't have enough feedback yet (only 1 reported back so far...). The issue is however not specifically TG or RXP related but rooted deeper in the Windows module loader in a specific context, and we're also investigating this part with the help of a 3rd party in order to make sure we all fully understanding the underlying Windows problem here.
  5. The idea I'm suggesting was to from the get go, make it mandatory for releasing any aircraft, so that this is not a question and serves the MP needs in one go. This doesn't need to be the fully detailed 3D model either, just one suitable for MP visual only, which means low poly count, no panel, no flight model, in other words nothing you could make any use standalone. A low poly count version of the aircraft preserving shape and supporting texturing only, and with minimum control surfaces and gear animations for displaying it properly.
  6. Make you voice count: Vote! Multiplayer: display other players actual aircraft 3D models and liveries around you - Self-Service / Wishlist - Microsoft Flight Simulator Forums
  7. What I'm nearly certain will be more frustrating with this is MSFT becoming the new PT and not just for the AA livery, but there is no indication this will be the case for now isn't it?
  8. But I believe the whole point of opening up Wx to 3rd party, with a volumetric weather model dividing the world like Minecraft, is not to repeat the same old fashion way of injecting weather via METAR only, but to effectively drive and fill these minecraft cubes of atmosphere with 3rd party data in order to represent 3rd party driven weather in game... I mean it is like people still saying RXP would like FS2020 to supporting DLLs in order to do the same old fashioned Garmins the same old fashioned way, whereas I'd just like Microsoft to let us sell on their Market Place the products we are developing with the FS2020 SDK to get started with, and to consider sound additions to the SDK eventually.
  9. I thought the reason MSFT said they don't want to open liveries and models to 3rd parties is because they are in contact with every (most) airlines and "they prefer handling the negotiations themselves because it is better". This makes sense otherwise they won't be able to sell licensed liveries packs (DLC) on their Market Place (they sell a lot of such car packs / liveries with Forza for example). As for weather, it might be too much coupled for now to open it up to 3rd parties, in the sense MeteoBlue is probably feeding their data formatted in a certain way and FS2020 is digesting this more or less directly for performance purposes. Opening it up would imply they document publicly a proprietary and 3rd party IP (the MeteoBlue API). If this is the case, this doesn't mean they couldn't also implement a "bridge" API which would give 3rd party the means to defining the weather in a different form (symbolic/abstracted) and would internally convert this into the proprietary MeteoBlue internal format still. Mind you, these features (AI traffic and Weather) can't be of any use to the core target this game is designed for (Xbox) because they are not providing the means to connect external 3rd party programs to Xbox anyhow (yet). NB: All the above is pure speculation only.
  10. Hi, I believe this question would be better posted in the Official Reality XP Support Forum which is hosted on Avsim as well. As for Traffic Global, there was an issue with the GTN and traffic IIRC only with the first GTN update when XP11.50 was released a year ago, but it has been corrected since. Otherwise, there is another issue with TG+GTN right now which is being resolved: https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/602533-gtn750gns430-xp1155r2-tg-freeze-resolving/?do=findComment&comment=4574441
  11. Hi, The RXP GPS are probably the most configurable and integrable 3rd party gauges in any aircraft, and we're in good contact with MilViz and always work hand-in-hand when they are expressing their needs to me. Integrating gauges always takes time and money all things considered, but also brings customer satisfaction and more sales in the end. Having said this, integrating RXP gauges in any aircraft doesn't take more than a few minutes for a seasoned developer, and I see no reason RXP gauges wouldn't display in the VC if they are configured in the panel.cfg file adequately. Let's try to assist you with this. Can you please post the content of your panel.cfg file (please make sure to wrap this inside the spoiler tag - the eye icon on the toolbar) Can you please also post the content of the RXP log files right after loading the PC6? (see RXP User's manual for file/path).
  12. Hi, If both XP11 are on the same computer, you can copy the plugin folders in the other XP11 installation. This is handy when you test XP beta/release versions.
  13. I believe you might want to read this discussion up to the last post, in order to get the latest and relevant information. If you are presently also affected with this issue with TG+RXP on XP 11.55, just let me know so that I can further help you.
  14. From my experience, I'm not sure FS2020 has anything to do with their high level simulation of the A320 systems at all. I have no doubt some vendors will find they can make better flight models on FS2020, some others will find they can make flight models better on P3D5 instead, and FS2020 rendering engine and 3D model handling is offering innovative visuals and interactive improvements. What I mean with the above is what does FS2020 has to offer which makes this A320 product possible only on FS2020 and not on P3D5 from an aircraft systems and displays simulation perspective? edit: oops, sorry for derailing the topic from the ATR (no need to answer, it is more a rhetorical question in fact)
  15. Hi, When you install the Garmin trainer launcher, it will also download and install the database files. Are you trying to install on another drive than "C" ? It is possible there is a bug with the Garmin installer in this case, but you can still manually configure the RXP solution to use any folder where to find the database files. It is documented in the RXP User's Manual.
  16. Hi, I believe it is already covered for in the EULA (and most likely also documented in a few topics in the forums too!) edit: https://www.qwant.com/?q=site%3Aavsim.com+RXP+two+computers+EULA&t=web
  17. Folder/Files exclusions is not what I was recommending you to check. I was referring to cross-checking whether Windows Defender did put any "rxp" file in quarantine
  18. Well then don't right click to try opening it with a program you don't have on your computer (7z). Instead just double click the .zip file to extract the content of the archive. Windows ships with its own .zip extractor. PS: it is no different than any other .zip file. If you have already downloaded any .zip file on your computer from any website, it is no different.
  19. You've opened this topic about RSS, not about installation failure. I'd suggest you post your installation questions in the already existing topic then: https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/602302-rxp-update-new-version/page/2/?tab=comments#comment-4563636
  20. I'm glad you've find a solution! Sometimes we don't always understand what's going on with Windows and software (and believe me this happens to all of us) 😂
  21. @ark thank you for helping @jimimac out! This is much appreciated!!
  22. You might want to just select the "Subscribe to software update notifications" during installation and be done with it.
  23. Yes, that is the purpose of RSS feeds: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RSS NB: the RSS feeds automatically update the information in your RSS feed reader. This has nothing to do with updating a software which consists in: knowing an update is available* downloading the updated software bits installing the downloaded software bits. *the purpose of the RSS feed which is only 1 way you can get notifications, but you can also subscribe during installation for our own update notifier instead.
