  1. Ok, I am about to almost purchase it. But some pros and cons?
  2. Thanks, I will do that, but do you have FSUIPC7 FOR MSFS? I'm assuming you can use it to assign reversers...
  3. In your opinion, what is the best payware airport? Please feel free to mention more than one... Kind regards.
  4. For anyone who owns FSUIPC7 for MSFS, how is your experience so far, i.e., can it assign reverse thrust on a Thustmaster Warthong Throttle?
  5. I am attempting to assign thrust reversers, for the a320, to my Warthog throttle. I would like to lift the throttle up at the idle detent to activate the thrust reversers and pull back to increase the reversers’ power. Has anyone been able to assign thrust reversers to the airliners, using any throttle quadrant?
  6. Ok, so finally, after centuries, they have released a "release" version of Traffic Global for v5. For those who own it, please tell me how is it going so far? For the risk of not setting off the hornet's nest, please don't comment about how other applications are better than Traffic Global. Thank you.
  7. Now, I've handled this type of "issue" on numerous occasions: i.e., some random "night-lighting" texture blocks appearing during daytime flights and general "mismatching" scenery. Last time, the issue had to do with 3rd party land classes somehow mismatching with Orbx, i.e., FlyTampa Sydney. Now, it's happening all over the world! Haha. Anyways, besides hitting the "verify files" for over about a hundred different products (with airports included) and "Sync Simulator" on Orbx Central, what else can anyone recommend? Let's find the root of this issue and be done with trial and error.
  8. It solved my CTDs, but I didn't have it on my .cfg
  9. Problem Solved. For anyone else facing similar issues, add the following line in your Prepar3d.cfg file, underneath [SIM], add: AdaptiveSimGroupEnable=False
  10. I have the latest updates for Windows installed, with all the Visual C++ redistributables installed. The CTDs occur shortly after take-off everytime, tested with the PMDG 737. Events Viewer Faulting application name: Prepar3D.exe, version: 5.1.8.26742, time stamp: 0x5f988752 Faulting module name: ucrtbase.dll, version: 10.0.19041.546, time stamp: 0x43cbc11d Exception code: 0xc0000409 Fault offset: 0x000000000007287e Faulting process id: 0xe88 Faulting application start time: 0x01d6b50daafba2a8 Faulting application path: D:\Prepar3D v5\Prepar3D.exe Faulting module path: C:\WINDOWS\System32\ucrtbase.dll Report Id: cfaf0cb2-7af7-470f-b4ea-dab33a9b3265 Please advise...
  11. My uneducated guess is perhaps bad silicon lottery? Anyways, I will read up on HT and will report back on my results.
  12. I also have all the TE products for XP and P3D. It’s interesting how P3D uses less space for the same TE region as XP. With my specs, I get decent frames with TE and a PMDG 737 for instance. What program are you using to create custom orthos?
  13. If you don't mind, can you elaborate a little about how hyperthreading negatively impacts P3D? I'm still at the office, but when I get home and try P3D without HT, I'll see if it helps.
  14. Thanks, Vic. I will give it a try and see how it impacts my system. Strange, how I wasn't familiar with this notion/issue before. However, it is a minor inconvenience to continually change my BIOS setting, since I fly in more than one sim.
  15. I somewhat agree, but Deadstick is definitely a niche product. I don't think the recent noise would necessarily "drown out" any potential announcements. Perhaps, they would capitalize on all the recent attention to flight simulation and capture a share of the new and "renewed" flight simmers. I hope they release some news soon, since its a really good concept.
  16. Based on your testing, you've found that hyperthreading causes performance issues in P3D, and the only way to disable it is through the BIOS? I should definitely look into this, wasn't aware...
  17. I'm looking for a program that easily connects my AHDRS data from MSFS to Foreflight, similar to the native functionalities available with P3D and XP11. Please comment on what you're using to connect to Foreflight and its advantages and disadvantages. Currently, two programs offer this functionality. The first is "FIT - MSFS BRIDGE - CONNECTOR FOR FOREFLIGHT AND SKYDEMON MSFS." If anyone is using this application, please let me know if it must be executed every time you start MSFS or its integrated? Does it impact framerates? I heard that Simconnect was causing issues with another program called "MICHAEL KULKE - XMAPSY V3 FSX P3D MSFS." However, the Simconnect issues have apparently been resolved with the latest MSFS patch. Can anyone confirm if the patch has resolved problems with the program mentioned above?
  18. Thank you, sir. The 3090 is the only one, at the moment, out of the entire RTX3000 series, capable of SLI resuscitation. God speed!
  19. Is it officially compatible with v5?
  20. Wish I could help you out, but I’ve never had this problem with TrackIR. Perhaps, deleting your shaders may be worth a shot.
  21. I’ll be lining up to get two 3090s on launch date, and connect them SLI status. Do I need it? No, I think 10 GB is sufficient for adequate eye candy and performance. Will SLI drastically improve performance? More than likely, no, it might even create headaches. Nevertheless, I will do it because life is short, I spend a lot more time simulating than actual flying, and because I can. 🙂
  22. I think you should be fine with the 8700k overclocked at 5Ghz, provided you are stable. I have two systems, a 7700k @ 4.9Ghz with a 1080Ti and a 9900KS with a 2080ti, and find substantial multi-core usage on both systems limited to 4-5 cores. However, it seems impossible to ascertain exactly how the lower percentage usage cores impact the performance overall. If you do decide to upgrade, for “future-proofing,” I recommend going with the 9900KS, if you find a discounted price.
