Hi Guys, Looking for a little advice if possible about purchasing MSFS.I have been a long time user of FSX and P3D,but now i am thinking of switching to MSFS. 1,Where is the best place to purchase Amazon are the cheapest at the moment. 2,Is the weather on a standard with Active Sky. 3,Is the default ATC better or on a standard with Radar Contact. 4,Is the flybywire A320 close to areosofts P3D version. 5,Would my PC be able to run it with mid to high settings, I7 11700k RTX 3060 32GB Ram Windows 10 Pro. I used the Natural Preset by Simflyer i found that to be the best,but unfortunately it keep reseting my config. Gary

Even though i love the product,i have had to uninstall it,the reason being it changes settings in my P3D config that i had set to my own person perference,MAX_TEXTURE_REQUEST_DISTANCE for instance i have it set higher than default to help with black scenery loading,but this RD shade always reverts it back to default with most of if not all of the presets. Hi,Thanks for the tip and the link,hopefully i may be able to fly the QW787 again.For me i didnt see any performance drop once i installed it,i use one of the presets from the website and the visual improvement was instant. Gary.

I purchased this product to try and make the cockpit of the QW 787 lighter because at the moment i just find the VC on the aircraft way to dark.In my experiance the enhanced visuals it brings to the sim was worth the purchase,by sadly it did nothing to help with the dark VC especially the QW787. Hi Chris, I had the exact same issue with Digital Design EGGP,i contacted the Dev and he very kindly updated the lighting in a fix for me,if you dont want to contact the Dev i have the lighting fix file i can share with you. With Thanks Gary Jones

Hi, UTL has not been updated to P3Cv5 as yet and doubt if it will ever be.You need to install it into your P3Dv4.5 addons folder then copy it accross to your P3Dv5 addons folder.Thats what i did and i have plenty of AI traffic at Simwings EGLL and UK2000 EGKK.Just checking if that is what you did,if not that maybe your problem. Hi Guys, Looking for a little help or assistance.I have been flying the QW 787 since FSX days up until P3Dv5.But the total darkness of the cockpit even in daylight hours is totally unflyable for me. I was wondering if anyone has presets from FSL Spotlights(i did find one on their forums but it made little difference) that they would be willing to share with me or even make me a preset,i would be willing to pay or make a donation towards AVSIM. I have tried myself to lighten the cockpit with FSL Spotlights but im not that good at anything like that,again any help would be greatly appreciated. With Thanks Gary Jones

I personally think and this is just my opinion that the Sim Wings EGLL is sufficient for the time being.EGKK needs to be looked at for P3D what airports do we have available at the moment,UK2000 and Jennasoft,well enough said on that.With iniBuilds being a UK developer i thought Gatwick would have been much the better idea.

Hi Guys, Im not very good with computers and the AF mask is a little to much for me. I have a i7 11700K no O/C with 8 phyical cores and 16 logical cores with HT on,the AF mask i have in my P3Dv5 config is, [JobScheduler] AffinityMask=65535 P3DCoreAffinityMask=65535 MainThreadScheduler=0 RenderThreadScheduler=2 FrameWorkerThreadScheduler=4 Just asking if that is the correct settings for my CPU. Hi Ray, The issue is now resolved,it was a bad or corrupt install of the 777 there was a problem with the radio stack and some frequencies where miising,the ones i was trying to tune ,hence the silence,i just did a complete reinstall of the aircraft and expansions and now the issue is fixed,thanks for your help as always. Hi Ray, .I purchased the PMDG 777 plus expansion packs about a week or so ago and i have had nothing but issues with the PMDG 777 and Radar Contact.I know that you need to have the VHF and mic activated for it to work from previous versions of the 777. First flight was Munich to Heathrow and RC abandoned me over Switerland i was still in contact with ATC from there upon landing at Healthrow,but was not passed on to other ATC.I then did the same flight in the PMDG 737NGXu,same route no issues for the whole flight. Second flight was Lisbon to Gatwick again in the 777,this time i heard nothing from ATC for the whole flight after getting the message,contact departure.I then did the same flight route etc in the Aerosoft Airbus A330 again flawless flight no issues at all. Third flight was Heathrow to Dublin(777) this time i couldnt even get RC to work,trying to get the ATIS nothing,trying to contact ground etc nothing even though i was pressing the buttons.I then jumped into the QW787 same flight and RC started with no issues and worked for the whole flight. Fourth Flight,by this time i know the problem is with the 777 so im trying everything to correct it,was from Reykjavik to Gatwick couldnt contact ATIS but somehow managed to contact clearance,by this time im just trying to problem solve and not enjoying the flying.I jumped out of the 777 and tryed the Aerosoft Airbus A320 no issues at all got the ATIS and contacted clearance,so back into the 777 this time nothing no ATIS,no clearance just silence,i loaded the A320 back in and the whole flight completed no problems. Fifth flight this morning Heathrow to Miami,loaded in the 777 hoping for a miricle but sadly nothing again total silence,so i loaded in the QW787,ATIS,clearance,gound no problem. I was hoping you maybe able to shed any light on the problem,sometimes it starts then abandons me,sometime it would even start,all flights have been tryed with different aircraft and RC works without any hiccups.I think its the 777 which is sad because it is a great aircraft with the addon packages,but in my experiance it wont work with RC. Hi Ray, Hope you had a great Christmas and New Year.Just a quick question if i may.if i step away from my sim for a little while the chances of ATC telling me to contact another controller is quite high,i know the first officer will chance the frequency,but is there a way to make him actually contact the new controller,save me getting reminded numerous times upon my return.
