Arrival Stutters and Lag
Yep! Great to hear! That's the part about it is if you have a slow internet this trick won't work very well, but if you have decent to super fast internet speeds you will be fine, just make sure not downloading or streaming anything else at same time. For me the change was like night and day, I get that the cache works fine for some folks, great good for you, but some setups with the file disabled just works better.

Arrival Stutters and Lag
It can be disabled. Basically what you need to do is change the cache file folder location in the sim first, for instance my path is "F:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\MSFS2024\ROLLINGCACHE" let the sim create/move the file to the new folder. Close the sim. Find said folder and rename it, I set mine to "ROLLINGCACHE.BACK" with the large file still inside in case i want to revert back. To undo and re enable the cache all you would need to do is rename the folder to the original name and start the sim. When the sim can't find the folder it cant write to it. You will notice in the sim it shows 0.0 now. Setting it to 0.0 doesn't disable it for good, it will always default to 16gb.

EV97 Ultralight
Yes it does, nice modeling. I hope the developer considers a 24 native update.

Arrival Stutters and Lag
Im on 24 and the cache is disabled Yes it can be done. You have to use some trickery ;) I tried 16, 64 & 128. I have disabled and enabled the cache multiple times and for me, it seems that every time the cache file is written to it stutters the sim 100%, in fact when I had it enabled during a flight outside city area just trees and typical terrain, 24 started to micro stutter every 5 secs at the same time the HDD light blinked and it didn't stop it kept going. So I ended the flight and went and disabled the cache and here we are, this is the second time I disabled the cache in testing and its been about 2 months now and no constant micro stutters just an occasional one here and there but for the most part its all good now. Also I never said my sim was running bad all I said was I have identified a CPU bottleneck that I am trying to fix, I have minimal stutters as of present so if I can rectify this minor CPU bottleneck I think will be perfect. I don't have high end machine either so its a lot of trial and error on my part to get the most out what I have to work with.

Arrival Stutters and Lag
I guess it all depends on the setup but for me I have less stutters with it disabled I tried both ways and 2 or 3 different sizes, so gone it is.

Arrival Stutters and Lag
I just stumbled upon this tool here https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/investigating-msfs-2024-ram-pressure-major-performance-improvement-from-periodic-rammap-cleaning/775592/18 Haven't tested it out yet but seems interesting, I too have suffered with the dreaded Arrival/Landing Stutters and have reduced it significantly by turning down or turning off Fauna and reducing FSLTL traffic settings as well as reducing airport services. Also finding that TLOD/OLOD sweet spot is key. I think my issue is a CPU bottleneck that I am currently trying to remedy, I just made some changes and hoping they turn out good.

PT6A Cheyenne III on short final!
Interesting. Does the medevac variant even have medical equipment? PropAir advertises a medical variant but I cannot find a single image of the inside of the medical version, only exterior shots showing the medical livery.

Tencam Traveller 2012 v2 is out
We need more skins for this bird! Does anyone know if the paintkit for the version 1 works for version 2?

I feel the main problem with this whole marketing plan PropAir imposed is that, you didn't give me an option to buy the SkyPass separately after I bought the aircraft, in fact its about the same price $20 aircraft $18 for 100 credits. They are basically ramming the SkyPass down your throat whether you like it or not. There is no cheaper option that people feel comfortable paying even with the bad track record. There are many out there that just want the aircraft and could careless about the VTR. So even with the shortcomings of the current state of the aircraft @$20 for the plane or $30 for both is still not bad, if they fix the issues and not abandon it like they did with the Shark. But your really buying 'a hope and a prayer' at this point, a good many will not make that leap of faith. If the price for both would have been about $30 as initially stated I would have considered it, but the current price no way!

Well it was showing this cheaper price, now since official release the price changed again to about $45 For me it seems too expensive to pay for too many "unknowns" at this point, If this was FSW, A2A or BKSQ etc, then sure no problem at that price because I know I am buying quality and excellent support, we shall see how the reviews turn out and if PropAir can backup their product. Already a rocky start, let's see.

Maybe I answered my own question? "What's the catch?" Well I was kinda excited till I just checked out their website as I got an email asking me to change my password due to SkyPass getting released, which I thought was a bit strange. Anyway upon further investigations I have discovered a "SkyPass" paywall https://propairflight.com/products/skypass/ I find it odd and seems to be a dirty trick if you as me. This was probably never mentioned because they know people don't like paywalls like this and if we (PropAir) don't talk about it and get them hooked after fact, after they buy the aircraft, maybe they will give into the paywall? lol just magically appears a day before release with no mention. They show SkyPass being used on the Orbx website screenshots and the 'Credit' balance is 0, so we can use the service free with the Cheyenne as shown in the images or is this false advertisement? Once I buy the aircraft and I go to use the SkyPass with the Cheyenne am I going to get hit with a "You don't have enough credits, please buy more credits" ? Does SkyPass work with the Cheyenne without buying credits as shown on Orbx website? Also its unclear how the credits are used, is it 1 credit per session, 1 credit per training exercise? The info on this system is severely lacking. At this point I getting bad vibes, with the track record of the previous bird, the lack of SkyPass info, as well as the surprise credit paywall, I think I will hard pass on this one.

Flightsim.to no access unless ad blocker disabled
Your using the wrong blocker, as mentioned above use ABP (AdBlock Plus) and uBlock both enabled. If you go to a other sites and something seems strange and won't load its more then likely because of uBlock just have the icon enabled in the toolbar and you can enable/disable it quickly and reload that page. I have used this combo for years with out any issues, it works perfectly on fsto.

It would appear to come with 2 cockpit styles "Modernized digital cockpit and analog gauge version" I am weary of their track record with the previous bird but 4 things have me interested, "Sky Pass", medical variant and "Custom engine model reacting to mistreatment in a realistic way" and the price is right. But if its bug ridden well, all bets are off lol. I kinda feel like "All these things for a decent price? What's the catch lol?"
