SODE question
Is SODE available on all existing FSDT and Flightbeam airports? I know I have used it at KIAH, to use it at the older airports, KLAX, KLAS, etc do I need to re-install them to get the added SODE functionality.

Does anyone do alternative sims to flying?
I enjoy Train Sim, and GTA V (The Police Version) it essentially turns GTA V upside down into a police simulator. Here's a link of me running the Train Sim. Great visuals, physics, and sounds, after I modded them.

DES PATH UNACHIEVABLE: FMC Message when descending
Okay, first off I am willing to bet the FMC is saying "RESET MCP ALTITUDE." The reason the aircraft is not Descending at your TD is because your cruise or highest altitude is still set in the MCP itself. Prior to reaching your TD say 10nm or so, no closer than 2nm set your cleared lower altitude or set the lowest altitude of your approach. Key thing is to set this BEFORE you reach your TD. If you do this, I guarentee the aircraft will descend. The reason you were getting DES PATH UNACHIEVABLE is because you (The Pilot) never authorized the aircraft to comply with VNAV since the MCP altitude was never reduced. 2nd method: If you do happen to forget to set your lower MCP Altitude prior to TD, or ATC gives you your descent clearance later than the aircrafts calculated TD point. Then you need to set the lower altitude and then PRESS ALT INTV. This stands for altitude intervention and allows the aircraft to resume its descent profile.

Help on CH Pro Rudder Pedals
Is the rudder recognized by Windows? If you go to Windows calibration page, do all the axis slide up and down and show movement? FSUIPC should see it.

Making the jump to Projectors - Canon REALiS WUX450ST Pro
Angelo Cosma replied to Mike_CFII_MEL's topic in Video Hardware: Monitors | Multi-Monitors | Video Cards | Drivers etcI figured that was going to be the deal breaker. Yes when watching your cockpit vids I asked myself man how can he live with those. Glad to hear you are going the projector route. Is the blending solution going to be done via Fly Elise or something similar? Would love to see a few setup vids when it is all said and done.

Making the jump to Projectors - Canon REALiS WUX450ST Pro
Angelo Cosma replied to Mike_CFII_MEL's topic in Video Hardware: Monitors | Multi-Monitors | Video Cards | Drivers etcI thought the whole reason you went out and got the 4K tvs was due to NatVis cost, projector bulbs, ambient light etc. So you are now contemplating switching from the TVs? Was it the bezels and angles of them that got in the way?

FSUIPC SETTINGS
Patrick, go to FSUIPC under "Buttons and Switches" press the button on your Saitek you want for TOGA. Click "set key to be sent when pressed" and assign Ctrl+Shift+G. Then go into the PMDG CDU and under keyboard assignments assign Control Shift G to TOGA (It may already be set that way) and you are good to go!

Why PMDG not freeware?
I have to disagree here, the systems fidelity, level of detail, attention to the little nuances of the aircraft, and sounds that PMDG are able to replicate come nowhere close to iFly. iFly is nice and I would recomend them to a noivice simmer just starting out fresh, but to any of my serious simmers, pilots, ATC I know it is PMDG all the way.
