>Chris->>You'll like these even more.>>1339 pages. :-)>>Smokes! That will present something of an issue printing that large a doc so I'd better get on that now given the WAF I must deal with.

>You'll like these even more.>>1339 pages. :-)>>Is it likely that the manual will be made available on-line later this month? I'm really looking forward to doing some reading before taking control of my new MD-11 and requesting final clearance from air traffic control :)

>Chris->>You'll like these even more.>>1339 pages. :-)>>**drool** YAY! That's almost as thick as my CoA 737 and 777 manuals! Those are 2800 and 1900 pages a pop as well.(Disclaimer: before anyone asks, no I won't send them. They are copyrighted material).Looking forward to reading the simulator MD-11 version from you guys. :-)

Robert et al,I cannot take credit for the WAF term. I read it somewhere on one of these flight sim forums and thought it very relevent to a significant number of us here ( me in particular ).I am sorry I cannot name the original "creative poster".I do hope you are able to come up with a "one purchase" option, bacause it really would make my life easier... and probably many others!I am happy to wait. I am not looking for discounts, nor do I have any alterior motive, other than 1 PMDG product appearing on the CC statement.I cannot remember how your ecommerce works, but if I wait until both are available, buy them both at the same time, I assume it comes as 2 payments? What with the ink for the HUGE manual, which I will need as it seems quite different from the systems on a 7 series boeing. This is going to be one complex WAF operation.Any advice on WAF situations, manipulation or even deception, much appreciated!!!Divorce has crossed my mind.. but then.. nah..... she's a good wife.... this is going to take a cunning mind!Cheers,PaulPS I am going to buy both anyway... and "face the music".

Paul, do what I'll do. Instead of printing off 1400 pages at home, take it to a professional printer (eg "Snap Printing" here in Australia) and get them to print it out for you and put it into a neat binder. It'll cost you considerably less than buying 4 or 5 reams of paper plus all of the ink you'll use.

Base cost for the weekend was around $500 USD, but with trip expenses and a high altitude endorsement it came to more like a grand. I have to admit, with 43 hours flight time in a Cessna 172, my log book looks odd with a HAE, but it was worth it :-)It's been coined "Drinking from a fire hose" because you get weeks of training shoved into an "introductory ride from h***" on a 737 full motion flight simulator.Prior experience with PMDG products and another (will not mention name here out of respect) product made the weekend remarkably "familiar"Ah, but this thread is about MD-11's . . . . and this product has me VERY excited!!! I fried 2 of my GPUs, so hopefully about the time I get the money for the new cards this will be released (that could be a while LOL) -- it'll be awesome to see this bird on the GPU I am getting. I won't run FSX on any less than 3 cards Crossfired.

I have been beta testing with PMDG for a while now and wanted to describe the view from our side of the fence on the MD11.Since the MD11 went into beta, I have put over 50+ hours into reading about systems and using the product. This bird has a very different operating philosophy and it has been really fun and exciting to learn an entirely new and different aircraft. The automation in the plane is significant and the fidelity of the PMDG model is amazing. As Robert has said, once we get some time on this bird to work out what's learning curve and what's a bug, I am sure the team will be sharing all kinds of really fun things.

After reading this thread and finding out the plane was in beta, I started reading all the info I have on the MD-11 again. I glanced through it a couple times, but now I'm sitting down and actually trying to learn it all. It's an eye-opener for sure.

I have a question for PMDG but I dthink this was answered at one point i know a question i had was related to this. Will the data be required to be downloaded for the FMS/MCDUafter the install of the MD-11 is complete. I have never used any of the others at least not yet, so I was just wondering how it works and stuffThanksEric W. Joneshttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/1900driver.jpg
