So>whilst that may make you sad, it will make me very happy - and>I'm sure PMDG won't be too disappointed to receive my money.>As a fellow simmer wouldn't that make you happy too?>Many of us have voluntarily purchased both products already, knowing that, although I fly most of the time in FSX, I still have many, many beautiful add-ons in FS9 and get to missing them when I stay away for too long. Many of these addons will never see FSX.Yes, I pre-ordered the FS9 version of the MD11 when I made my purchase because I know that I will be going back often. To me, FS9 is just an extension of MSFS and not an old program that will be getting rid of anywhere in the near future as far as I know.I'm looking forward to flying my FS9 PMDG MD11 very soon in FS9 and by then I should be fairly comfortable with it although I still will be buying Chris Palmer's Angle of Attack for the MD11.I hope to know this bird like the back of my hand and this news makes me happy too (and PMDG already has my money, God bless them).Bobhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/pmdg_trijet.jpg

Without a doubt, this is among the absolute best airline releases available for MSFS to date. PMDG has done a remarkable job and it will now be enjoyed by many in both FS9 and FSX.There was such a great need for this beautiful tri-jet and PMDG has come through with flying colors (just like they always do).I just can't say enough about it, I love flying this beauty.Thank you PMDG Team!!Bobhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/pmdg_trijet.jpg

Im standing up and applauding!!!!! Thank you very much for the update. I too have purchased both versions and have been flying FSX. As much I hate to say it, I have started to move over to FSX. I have ASX for weather, Ultmate terrianX USA and some others for FSX . I have a great computer to handle FSX, but in the begining, I had to adjust slidders, but I found a huge problem I was having and that was two things, first I had to turn oFF antialiasion IS FS and let my video card handle that and got a huge jump in FR's. The second was updating DIRECTX...that was huge, big jump in rates Another is smoehing I have not had a chance to get to, but as soon as I do, I will post it. As of now, most sidders and about 3/4 and am getting 20-25 on the groung. My point is this. Starting to work with FSX fot the MD11 it has caused me to trouple shoot some new things to get the best perfrmancen out of FSX. In a nut shell a 3K computer should have no problem running FSX, expept for the 747. I have some new scenery Im going to install and just test and restest to get best performance. IMOP 20-25 Fram rates is perfect....very smooth. As most of us agree, FS9 runs like a vette on my computer and I do miss it, so it will be one of those back and forth things. I too bought both verisions with no regreats.Whith that said, I and having fun rebuilding the new FSX to my own specs and the MD11 was the perfect software to do it.Keep up the great work guys and maybe we will have an early xmas gift.Keep up the grate work guys, we are all behing you!!Brett LucasKSTL

Thanks for the update. I purchased combo and I'm looking forward for the FS9, even if it flies good on my FSX.Thanks again and keep up the excellent work!

Ciao!

FS9 is still a great sim platform. It's a pain to have to develop for two different sims (trust me on this!), but there are still A LOT of FS9 users out there. For those of you who are waiting for the FS9 version of FS2Crew for the MD-11, I hope to have it available when the aircraft itself is released. But again everything is subject to change. Cheers,Bryan

Thanks Robert. I

Thanks for the update.... I feel that to be honest even with my E8400 running at 4.1Ghz and my GTX8800 that I just about have FS9 running just where I want it... sitting at Heathrow in the PMDG 747-400 with AI traffic at 50% with Active Sky,UT, Real Environment Pro etc I can get 30-35fps.... The 747 in FSX, well barely 10-12fps even with the sliders more towards the left than the right its no fun at all changing hardware every 2 years chasing those acceptable framerates.. so I believe FS9 is having its 'heyday' and is not outdated or outmoded and with great addons like AES that have not even made it to FSX, it will live a little longer... very much looking foward to the MD-11 for FS9.....Hamish

Excellent, I'm really looking forward to this! I'm a student and i cant afford to shell out on a new computer to use FSX so I'm very greatfull. Flight Sim is my best study tool because I'm effectively killing two birds with one stone.Yes During my long haul flights I study hard, only to put the books down and handle the aircraft when I need to. The joys of autopilot. Thanks PMDG.

Thanks for the update Robert.. Will be patiently waiting for the release.. Won't bug you one time for an update..------------------------------------------------------------------Joe"It's not the fall that kills ya. I totally agree with you Leffe.. I have tons of money invested in scenery, aircraft, etc for FS9.. To toss all that in the toilet would totally crazy..------------------------------------------------------------------Joe"It's not the fall that kills ya. hey folks!!can't wait for the FS9 release of the big macbut theres one question about that that comes up for me and i bet for some other FS9ers too what about fspassengers? will we be able to use the MD with fspax when the "disable position calculation" feature is used in the payload model? of course that only applies to the payload (pax, cargo) the fuel is loaded afterwards using PMDGs system (i do the same with the 737 and 747 and both work just fine) would be really nice to know if its useable with FSPax or notthanksRegardsTobi

You guys do outstanding work and I am a loyal customer, especially now that you did not forget us FS9 captains out there, I salute you.Michael P.

Hello Folks!I have a question about the liverys for the MD11 (FS9) .. will be the same as for the FSX?Great work :) RegardsFlyReal
