I see now where the confusion came from in my head...the VATPAC home page says 0400z, but the Cross the Ditch listing on the VATSIM-Events page and the Cross the Ditch page itself both say 0500z....A few too many brown soda-pops for our freinds at VATPAC me thinks ;-)See you all there, PIC767's en masse exodus....awesome ;-)

Hi all and hope to see you down under this weekendAll the cross Tasman plans (Oz to NZ and return) can be found on the VA website for which I am the OPs Manager. Its called Compass Virtual and can be found at http://www.compass-virtual.orgWe also have on that site the latest SID, STAR and IAL plates from the Australian AIP, courtesy of Airservices Australia. All plans comform to the AIRAC 0207 routing requirements with up to date route information.Hope to see you all there and safe skiesRobYMA002Compass Virtual - a new direction in Aviation

The times have now been corrected and updated. TIMES FOR CROSS THE DITCH I Sunday 21st July 2002 UTC - 0500z until 1000z Australian Eastern Time - 3.00pm until 8.00pm New Zealand Standard Time - 5.00pm until 10.00pm CheersIan

Will you be up there Ian?If so might get to 'speak' again ;-)

Mike B, Haroon, Dan, Ryno, et al...I've been doing some math and I am very confused...again....KLAX-YSSY = 6500nm = is at least 15 hours in a 767 (west with avg wind comp of -30kts)...if we depart KLAX at 11am EDT (1500z) we won't get to YSSY until about 0600z Sunday, quite late for the 0100z start time for YSSY-NZAA??I flew half the flight while I slept last night, with full fuel and ZFW of 111.1 Tons / 245.2 lbs - at the half way mark now it is looking quite scary for fuel...any increase of headwinds for a long time will put us in the drink ;-)Will look for you guys and see if there any updates...or was 4x part of the agenda?Bye for now.Rob.

Hi Vulcan,I plan on being there during the first 2 hours but have a commitment at 0800 z so probably can't do the whole "Cross the Ditch"Hope to be in touch.CheersIan

We are looking good here. Rob, Dan, Haroon, Sunny and I are in route for Sydney. I am currently 1400 miles to Sydney and should land around 0300Z with 14000 lbs left over. The headwinds were a killer over the eastern half of the Pacific. This is a great route and is almost perfectly direct KLAX-YSSY.KLAX-PRCH7.FICKY-B581-NN-A579-JORDY-MARLN.MARLN3-YSSY

hmmm was wondering what this "WALTZ" thing was all about last night. So Rob - confirm you are using Richard's latest NavData for your PIC FMC? If so what version is that? If 856 says it's a go then I suppose it's time to get rid of the 0201 rev .TIA,Ian.p.s. - Again - what a blast last night!!
