Mine is not working right now. It terminates about 3/4 of the way through the initial data population.

As soon as the main ASX screen opens it starts downloading something but doesn't let me do anything. About half way through the download an error dialogue pops up and wants to send an error report to Microsoft. After I click "send" or "cancel" ASX quits. Can't get any further than that.

OK, I have just started getting the "X Engine has stopped working" message. Worked perfectly fine last night. I am going to be more than a little miffed if I have to re-install again. Please, could someone explain what the nature of these errors are?Edit 1: Is there some way we can report these errors directly to someone who will attend to them ASAP?Edit 2: It's failing at "Populating weather stream with new data".Thanks,Chris Porter:-outtaPerthWestern AustraliaCheck out my 5th Around the World flight with MS FSX at http://members.iinet.com.au/~portercbp/fly...W_05/index.html

Yup Mine did it to.I downloaded weathr for Cairns YBCS and Townsville YBTL route data and it crashed about half an hour into the flight. Is there an error dump I can send you guys?Regards and God bless!Alfred

It worked fine since last crashes on monday, but today it fails to populate the weather in FSX. Hmmm must still be some fixes left attending too :-)ASX is such an excellent program and I sure miss it right now!best regardsScandi426Norway

Hi All,Things should be working again and we are sorry for the problems.A few things:No reason to keep reinstalling. That will not do anything to fix the problem. No reason to send a report to anyone when that dialog comes up.The issue is in the data and we need to get some things in place for a permanent fix. We are working on this as fast as we can! Thanks for your patience,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/

>No reason to send a report to anyone when that dialog comes>up.I really don't understand this statement. In effect what you are asking us to do is to live with our frustrations and trust that you firstly are aware of the latest SNAFU, and secondly have the situation under control with an indeterminate resolution time.MmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmChris Porter:-outta

If its too frustrating for you turn it off and use the fsx updated weather till its fixed.

I had the failed launches over the past few days, but today it's different.I click the Icon and get the usueal oblong blue loader screen. Then after 100%, the loader splash goes away Active Sky button zips off down to the task bar. I get the green text banner ribbon in FSX telling me active sky has connected to FSXAnd that's it.Active sky frozen anbd no changes to FSX.Maybe this isn't related, but FSX is playing silly buggers as wellHere's what I get at FSX startup (click the OK and FSX continues to load OK...fsx_start_fault.jpg

Strange...Althought the ASX Window doesn't open, ASX is, in fact, active and affecting the weather in sim.Ideas?

Hi Chris,Not at all. I tried the best I could to sum up the posts made at that time.Where does that error report go to? Microsoft. Do they need to know? No.Now, don't confuse that report screen with letting us know about this stuff. That is something totally different. We do want reports both good and bad. Are we able to have someone watch every hourly weather update to make sure this doesn't happen? At the beginning, yes we were, in order to catch the data errors as they happened. Those stations were worked on, but now new stations were producing the errors. The ultimate fix will be when we test and release SP1, ASAP.I hope this clears up my post.Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/

The problem for me (windows error message on download) seemed to to be with one of the three recent auto window updates (13/6/07 on my machine). It appeared after they installed and disappeared after I uninstalled them.Could one of these updates be the problem; is this problem fixed and can I re install these updates...Dennis
