Saitek Flight Yoke

Featured Replies

Is it out yet? I've read a few reviews and they love it. I'm looking for something more realistic than the mushy plastic CH Yoke, but I would rather spend an hour in a real plane than buy something that is only as good as the CH yoke. I want real opinions- not reviewers. Have any real pilots tried it out yet? It would be nice to have the real chronometer in the yoke for sure.

I'm also considering to buy this yoke. I think the release date is 26th of sept. of this year.

I'll be waiting plenty for some feedback on this one. I see plenty of bad comments about their pedals and the joystick/throttle set up I bought a few years back to replace my MS joystick was awful. X45? Hated it. Took it back after 2 days.

I have a saitek joystick and i'm very happy about it. The stick feels very valuable even though it was a very cheap one (about 40$ i think). But now back to the Pro flight yoke discussion ;)

The X-45 needed a hair less spring force, which I fixed, but had a good solid feel. I now use the X-52 & think it's just great!And................I have their pedals too. Again, good stuff! From looking at the yoke, I might just buy it too, even though I prefer sticks.L.Adamson

Simware says Sep. 17 on their site. Amazon says "Ships in 2-4 weeks". I'm am guessing just because they don't know when they will get them in stock. I will be getting one. Looks like much better quality than the CH yoke, the throttles look nice too.I'm surprised CH hasn't introduced anything new in several years as far as yokes go. I don't think they'll be able to adequately compete.

Awesome products usually dolaunch themselves right out of the blue and with an awesome bang too.:-samurai

Form, is but the manifestation of inner contentment.

My CHproducts yoke and pedals have also been great. However, they're gameport! Time to move on. I ordered the new Saitek yoke. What do you think--what should I expect switching to USB? I also have the Chproducts throttle quadrant. RandallP.S. Anyone want a used gameport yoke and pedals?

I am looking forward to knowing what the amount of turn on the yoke is. I have the CH yoke and it turns only about 90 degrees, which to me, fells too sensitive. Hopefully the Saitek yoke has a larger amount of turn so it will feel a bit more realistic.

You know it's probably going to be very good. The reviews have been in the 9's. It looks well-made along with the new throttle quadrant. I've been a loyal CH hardware fan for years; my yoke is at least 5 years old now but it's getting old and creaky (sometimes it really does go "Boing!" )and although it still works fairly well, it shows a bit of age and sometimes does not center the elevator quite properly. My CH throttle quadrant is very good and has never let me down, but the Saitek throttle quadrant also looks very nice with % power markings and the ability to go below 0% and engage reverse thrust (Saitek confirmed to me that it is programmable thus).I shall most likely order it in the next 2 weeks once I hear back from Saitek about firm delivery dates.JS

I like the option to gang 2 throttle quads together to provide multi-engine capability.scott s..

Now THAT is really meaty and looks beautiful. Really beautiful. A fistful of thrust. That's what heavy iron flight should be about, even in the simulator!JS

Yes, but CH now uses USB. Mine are USB.I'm really shocked when I hear people say they like the Saitek joysticks. That X45 was the worst feeling thing I've ever gamed with. It was so rigid, I knew I'd need wrist surgery because of some painful entrapment syndrome in a matter of months. The yoke is just so much easier and fits in the planes I like to simulate. Being able to use either hand to control it, and overall just naturally seems better to fly with.

I thought most people know already. The Throttle was released on Aug 30, and Yoke system was already released on Sept. 14.DSCN2213.jpg
