So that's the magic trick. There had to be a difference otherwise all those spending 1 grand would be plain fools. But I am not going to cancel my order for that D0 920 (still waiting :( in SE europe)If I am lucky, I may get to 4GHZ. If not, so be it. Even 3.5-3.6 GHz will (hopefully) eliminate or at least significantly reduce stutters for my beloved FSX. :(
If get a 920 D0 than I bett you will reach 4GHz+

Hi,I just checked and it shows Extremely Dense, not sure why it showed Dense before, unless I had to restart FSX after making multiple changes.

Mike what monitor are you using, cause it shows that you have it set to 1600 X1200 and I have a 285 card to on a 22 inch monitor but at that res the planes looked stretched. Nice system BTW but for those of you that don't have the money I am running FSX with the CO I7 920 and get frames with everything maxed in the 30s stable. I got it overclocked to 3.8 with room for more . They are sweet chips.

Hi Hardwater,I have a Mitsubishi Diamond Pro 2070SB monitor. It is a 22" monitor and the aircraft don't look stretched to me, maybe its me. Let me get a screen shot uploaded so you can take a look and judge for yourself. I've been running 1600x1200x32 for years-and-years, I've never noticed any stretching.Let me get a shot online, just give me a few minutes.Mike

Hi,Here are two shots taken at KSEA using two Level-D 767-300ER aircraft. I added a link because I did not want to have the image load here at AVSIM due to the size of the snap shot (1600x1200x32).http://www.rmfc.us/photos/767_1.jpghttp://www.rmfc.us/photos/767_2.jpgThe second screen shot showing a zoom of 1.00.Does this look stretched?.

Nah That looks great Mike, Now here's something wierd. At 1600 X1200 X32 my planes looked stretched. So I tried to grab some pics using Fsscreen. Well when I look at the pictures the planes look fine. Maybe I'm losing my head lol

Mike is running a 4:3 aspect ratio CRT monitor, which is why the 4:3 aspect ratio 1600x1200 resolution does not stretch images. Most people hear the phrase "22 inch monitor" and they immediately think 1680x1050 widescreen and such a monitor would indeed give images a stretched appearance running at 1600x1200.

Hi CaptainT,Sorry for the delay in responding. The new system cost me about $3,000.00 with a few parts taken from my old system. I've seen the I7-975 CPU selling between $995.00 - $1,240.00. A Google search will give you numerous sellers with different prices, just look for the best deal. Just make sure the company you select is reputable.Hi TechguyMaxC,You are correct, the monitors aspect ratio is 4:3.
