Tim and Reed,I suggest to open a new thread on your forum where the guys can help each others to repare their exe.xml file. It's very easy to do for those who make frequent backups.EXEMPLE:1) to add fsdreamteam products exe you need to add the following:

<Launch.Addon> <Name>Couatl</Name> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad> <Path>fsdreamteam\couatl\couatl.exe</Path> </Launch.Addon>

2) to add FSForce 2.0 exe you need to add the following:

<Launch.Addon> <Name>FSForce</Name> <Disabled>false</Disabled> <ManualLoad>false</ManualLoad> <Path>C:\Program Files\FSForce 2.0\FSForce.exe</Path> <NewConsole>true</NewConsole> <CommandLine>/FS</CommandLine> </Launch.Addon>

3) to add FollowMe.exe you need to add the following:

<Launch.Addon> <Name>DvoFollowMe</Name> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad> <Path>Disposition\FollowMe.exe</Path> </Launch.Addon>

4) to add FlyLogic\SeasonFileSwitcher.exe you need to add the following:

<Launch.Addon> <Name>FLSFS</Name> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad> <Path>H:\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\FlyLogic\SeasonFileSwitcher.exe</Path> </Launch.Addon>

WARNING!!! if you want to use these codes make sure to replace FSX path with the correct one! :--))Does it makes sense to you guys?

I think that helps the people that didn't make backups a lot :)

David (or anyone else who may know),I'm still confused by some of what REX 2.0 did as far as messing up the dll.xml file:1. Did (DOES?) REX 2.0 actually make an entry for itself in the dll.xml file? I don't see one anywhere in my dll.xml file. Yet it appears REX 2.0 is running fine for me in FSX.2. It appears that the REX 2.0 only removed "some" of the entries from my dll.xml...UT2, aicarriers, fsdreamteam, etc. My PMDG ones, Addon Manager, FSUIPC, all the SDK entries, and a few others are still there. Did this happen to everyone? Were only SOME of the entries in the dll.xml file deleted? 3. RE: your above entry for fsdreamteam. Do you know if that is the only entry required for all fsdreamteam airports? In other words, if I re-enter the couatl info in dll.xml, should I get all functions of any fsdreamteam airports working in FSX? I've got 5 of them.4. RE: the REX 2.0 "patch fix". The instructions say to create a WHOLE NEW dll.xml file, with only the default FSX entries in it. Then run the patch. Then run UT2, then REX 2.0 after that. And that is supposed to put UT2 and REX 2.0 back in the dll.xml (according to the instructions). But then I have to copy everything else I had in my old dll.xml back to it? Like the 3 SDK entries, etc? That doesn't really sound like a fix, if I have to create a brand new default dll.xml. I'm totally confused by those instructions. Or is it intended to cause FSX to "re-ask" you to run the Trusted Software thingie again when you start FSX, so it will re-write all your addons that require entries into the "new" dll.xml file? Thanks for helping clear any of this up.Rick

hi,my nightmare... installing something which scews up everything....it has come truemy problem.... saitek pro panel no longer works. What is the fix? This exe.xml is not the result of not being able to test every software or hardware, it is the result of not checking that a vital file is not unduly modified.I am glad that a patch was quickly released but it does not solve the problem entirely since there is a modification to be made and most of us don't know what to doThanks

Hi Everyone,This is what I have, Some may be online already. I'm still looking, when I find them I'll get them uploaded.Hi yankeegolf3, Saitek is at the bottom, hope this is what you need.<?xml version="1.0" encoding="Windows-1252"?><SimBase.Document Type="Launch" version="1,0"><Descr>Launch</Descr><Filename>exe.xml</Filename><Disabled>False</Disabled><Launch.ManualLoad>False</Launch.ManualLoad><Launch.Addon><Name>DvoFollowMe</Name><Disabled>False</Disabled><ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad><Path>D:\FSX\Disposition\FollowMe.exe</Path></Launch.Addon><Launch.Addon><Name>FSX Mouse Controls</Name><Disabled>False</Disabled><ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad><Path>D:\FSX\Modules\FSX Mouse Controls.exe</Path></Launch.Addon><Launch.Addon><Name>Checklist</Name><Disabled>False</Disabled><ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad><Path>D:\FSX\Modules\Voice Checklist\voiceChecklist.exe</Path></Launch.Addon><Launch.Addon><Disabled>False</Disabled><ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad><Name>Autothumbnail</Name><Path>D:\FSX\Autothumbnail\Autothumbnail.exe</Path></Launch.Addon><Launch.Addon><Disabled>False</Disabled><ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad><Name>UT2</Name><Path>D:\FSX\Flight One Software\Ultimate Traffic 2\UT2Services.exe</Path><NewConsole>True</NewConsole></Launch.Addon><Launch.Addon><Disabled>False</Disabled><Name>Real Environment Xtreme - Weather Engine 2</Name><Path>E:\Real Environment Xtreme\rexwxengine2.exe</Path></Launch.Addon><Launch.Addon><Name>Couatl</Name><Disabled>False</Disabled><ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad><Path>D:\FSX\fsdreamteam\couatl\couatl.exe</Path></Launch.Addon><Launch.Addon><Name>FSForce</Name><Disabled>false</Disabled><ManualLoad>false</ManualLoad><Path>C:\Program Files\FSForce 2.0\FSForce.exe</Path><NewConsole>true</NewConsole><CommandLine>/FS</CommandLine></Launch.Addon><Launch.Addon><Name>FLSFS</Name><Disabled>False</Disabled><ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad><Path>D:\FSX\FlyLogic\SeasonFileSwitcher.exe</Path></Launch.Addon><Launch.Addon><Disabled>False</Disabled><ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad><Name>FSX800</Name><Path>C:\Program Files\FSX800\FSX800.exe</Path><CommandLine>/keyCenter:Shift+c /noConsole</CommandLine><NewConsole>True</NewConsole></Launch.Addon><Launch.Addon><Disabled>False</Disabled><ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad><Name>3wirex</Name><Path>C:\Program Files\3wirex.exe</Path></Launch.Addon><Launch.Addon><Disabled>False</Disabled><ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad><Name>AICarriers</Name><Path>D:\FSX Tools\AI carriers\aicarriers.exe</Path><Launch.Addon><Name>CumulusX</Name><Disabled>False</Disabled><ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad><Path>D:\FSX\Modules\CumulusX!\CumulusX.exe</Path></Launch.Addon><Launch.Addon><Name>sim_probe</Name><Disabled>False</Disabled><ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad><Path>D:\FSX\Modules\sim_probe\sim_probe.exe</Path><CommandLine>log="C:\Documents and Settings\Mike\My Documents\fs\igc_files\"</CommandLine></Launch.Addon><Launch.Addon><Name>Texture Max Load Editor</Name><Disabled>False</Disabled><ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad><Path>C:\Program Files\Frosty Software\Texture Max Load Editor\tml.exe</Path></Launch.Addon><Launch.Addon><Disabled>False</Disabled><Name>GoFlight Hardware Interface</Name><Path>C:\Program Files\GoFlight\GFDevFSX.exe</Path><CommandLine></CommandLine></Launch.Addon><Launch.Addon><Name>Saitek Pro Flight Switch Panel</Name><Disabled>False</Disabled><Path>C:\Program Files\Saitek\Pro Flight Switch Panel\SaiSwitchPanel.exe</Path><CommandLine>-run</CommandLine></Launch.Addon><Launch.Addon><Name>Saitek DirectOutput RadioStack</Name><Disabled>False</Disabled><Path>C:\Program Files\Saitek\DirectOutput\SaiFlightSimX.exe</Path><CommandLine>-run</CommandLine></Launch.Addon><Launch.Addon><Name>YAMM</Name><Disabled>False</Disabled><ManualLoad>True</ManualLoad><Path>C:\Program Files\YAMM\YAMM_server_v-1.0.exe</Path></Launch.Addon><Launch.Addon><Name>Mission Extension for FSX</Name><Disabled>False</Disabled><ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad><Path>D:FSX\Extensions\SimVar.exe</Path></Launch.Addon></SimBase.Document>

hi,Thank you mike.It seems that we all have to check every softwares and hardwares installed :( Wow, that is what we can call a blunder or rather sabotage. REX1 update=RSX2: real sabotage extreme 2 :( Well let us keep in mind that it is a free upgrade and that problems do happen sometimes even for the best softwares. a lesson to be learned, Now I will make back ups of the config file Cheers

I too have had major problems with REX2.0 and subsequent patch. After un-installing REX 2.0 (permanently), Simconnect no longer works on the Server computer on a network system with two clients. I desire to operate ASA on a client. Being fairly new to FSX from FS9, I'm not familiar with the purpose of EXE.xml and if my Simconnect problem is related to all of this mess. Any information is appreciated, especially on how to repair Simconnect if that is indeed related. All I know everything was working fine until the REx 2.0 installations. Les Parson
