September 6, 200916 yr I was wondering if there was a way to get icing on the js41 without having passengers? I know it does not give that option in the configurator but it would have been nice.Is there a way to alter this in the planes cfg ?BTW otherwise great job PMDG.Travis
September 7, 200916 yr Commercial Member Travis-The only possible configurations are those described in the CONFIGURATION MANAGER.Hope that helps... Robert S. Randazzo PLEASE NOTE THAT PMDG HAS DEPARTED AVSIM You can find us at: http://forum.pmdg.com

September 8, 200916 yr What have passengers to do with the presence of icing ? :(The config manager only gives you three options. full effects (pax + icing), medium (only pax) and low version (no effects) Correct me if I am worng but it's a visual setting only, incing will still happen!!FRED
September 8, 200916 yr Author Yes it is only visual. I've noticed with the feature turned off I'll still get an icing warning signal in icing conditions. I just think icing only should have been an option and I really can care less about those fps killing passengers because I've been simming without them for almost 20 years, but I really like the idea of looking out of the window and seeing ice build up on my aircraft. I think this adds to the immersion factor of the simulation. Travis
September 8, 200916 yr I have my exterior model turned all the way down. I like to fly my plane from the inside, not from the outside where I can get frostbite! :( Erik L.
September 8, 200916 yr well being able to look at the wings from the virtual cockpit and actually see icing just like they do in real life is a very nice feature

September 8, 200916 yr Try going to the load sheet and selecting 0 passengers for every row. :(No fun in that, your plane will be virtually empty! You'll simply be flying fuel to your destination! :( Erik L.
September 8, 200916 yr No fun in that, your plane will be virtually empty! But such flights happen in real life. Ferry flights, repositioning flights, training flights, etc. Michael J.
