October 4, 200916 yr Yes i understand the # from the tutorial, thanks for reply "N0270F160" was what i did not understand. It think N0270 stands for the expected groundspeed and I'm sure that F160 stadns for the cruise level.
October 4, 200916 yr I agree with you on the F160 but note all flights but two use the N0270 so I'm thinking it has something to do with equipment or a dispatch shorthand. Dan Downs KCRP
October 4, 200916 yr Hi all,N0270 is the True Air Speed. Eastern use 270 for all of their RFPL's. The ones that dont have it - the WOW ones are filed by hand and not automatically uploaded from the text file at eurocontrol.Chris.
March 1, 201016 yr Just adding to this one:N0270 is in fact the filed TAS for the flight, F160 the filed altitude for the route. Any changes to this may be added to the route as WAYPOINT/NXXXXFYYY (or A for altitudes below the TA, or S for metric levels)It is the common ICAO format on the flight plan. Such entries are common in RVSM flight plans, in which changes from E/W to N/S hemispherical level rules occur, often at entry or exit poijnts of the respective airspace, or transitions to metric airspace such as the CIS or China...Andrew Andrew Entwistle
