Can often improve blurries.- Increase RAM.- Upgrade Graphics Card, to newer card with more GPU RAM.- Set Texture Bandwidth Multiplier to a higher / lower value in fsx.cfg (experiment).Davido.

I took the time to suggest some ideas that may help ..... have you take the time to consider trying them?Interesting that Bert's post just stated "you shouldn't have this problem" with no other practical help, yet that's the post you replied to, not acknowledging whether you had looked at what I suggested; your video card settings, tweaking the texture bandwidth multiplier, etc. :(

AA would have no effect on the blurriness. Even AF as no effect on 'blurries' in FS itself, just makes decent textures sharper.Nhancer does nothing to blurries, as they are a problem with FS, not video settings. It may or may not improve actual texture quality though. His GPU def doesn't need an upgrade. And he has plenty of ram.OP:Sorry I can't comment further as I'm an fs9 user, but I would specifically look at FS settings, not computer settings, first. - Red E8500 @ 4.1 | EVGA 275GTX (overclocked) | 2x2GB Mushkin Enhanced Redline @ 1066 | Samsung 24inch LCD @ 1920x1080 |
October 15, 200916 yr I have found that the biggest cause of blurry base textures in FSX, no matter what spec machine one has, is Autogen. Try turning it off completely. It may look sparse on the ground but once in the air and above 1500 ft, one doesn't really need Autogen anyway. If it improves matters, you can then try turning it back on to Sparse and see if blurries reoccur. If not try turning up a notch at a time.Who needs autogen when flying anyway, unless you enjoy tree-topping !Cheers,Stuart
October 15, 200916 yr I've found that video drivers are the big culprit.Delete current drivers.Install 182.50 if using an nvidia video card.Install Nhancer.Set up Nhancer using Nick's Tweak Guide.Tweak cfg if necessary.Enjoy FSX. MSFS

October 16, 200916 yr I was wondering about that for some time... if I cycle views (VC, spot, ... ) it seems that every time I get into external view the textures get reloaded... blurry for a few seconds... that happens mostly if I cycle fast. Tomaz Drnovsek My FSX Videos My AVSIM Gallery
