December 11, 200916 yr I have found that if i start to get the same glitches, i switch to windowed mode and then back into full screen the problems go away. I have the bufferpools in the cfg as well as other 'tweaks' set.but this seems to work well, with no problems after that.strange, i dont know if the swap clears out some graphics cache and relaods it back in running on a quad core 8 gb and hd4890(dual monitor) win 7 64
December 13, 200916 yr Commercial Member Another possible fix that I have found tht you guys can try...I only SEEM to get the graphical glitches when I load the plane at a complex airport. I've found that if I go to a small airport, then load the J41, then switch back to the complex airport, the glitches are gone. Noah Bryant
December 15, 200916 yr For what it's worth I also get this and it has made this sim unflyable :-( Did not do it on my first couple flights, but does it all the time now!I can hop out this aircraft and into the 747X and everything is fine and then back into the J41 and it's all messed up again. I'm using the latest Nvidia drivers 195.62 for Win 7 64. Most graphics are maxed out on my system. Diabaling DX10 and/or light bloom did nothing to solve the issue either. Just check if we all use the weather radar as a common ground? I installed the WX500 to this aircraft. In the interim, I am going to uninstall this aircraft and wait for PMDG to fix it with patches. Can't say I'm particuarly happy as I have just paid for both the J41 and the WX500 weather radar :-( GregH Intel Core i7 14700K / Palit RTX4070Ti Super OC / Corsair 32GB DDR5 6000 MHz / MSI Z790 M/board / Corsair NVMe 9500 read, 8500 write / Corsair PSU1200W / CH Products Yoke, Pedals & Quad; Airbus Side Stick, Airbus Quadrant / TrackIR, 32” 4K 144hz 1ms Monitor
December 16, 200916 yr Commercial Member The interim solution we have suggested, and which works, is to select the medium version cockpit model using the PMDG Jetstream 41 Configuration Manager. Vin Scimone Precision Manuals Development Group www.precisionmanuals.com
December 16, 200916 yr The interim solution we have suggested, and which works, is to select the medium version cockpit model using the PMDG Jetstream 41 Configuration Manager.Vin, from the December 5 update my understanding was that this would not be fixed. Are you saying that it is still being looked at? December 16, 200916 yr I just the CD version and have the same problem. Sometimes it flickers and sometimes not. So there is a fix comming and for the time being turn off icing in VC?Greg Greg Moore KFMH https://forum.pmdg.com/filedata/fetch?id=127275&d=1622041469&type=thumb
December 30, 200916 yr Hi All, I downloaded the J41 recently....a week ago or something. I assume that this includes the SP1 that is mentioned in this thread? I also have the same graphics problem - looks to me like a pixel that is transaprent around some gauges that is letting in the view from outside... I do not have a Bufferpools entry in my config, so the only solution is to disable icing???? That is a very sad thing to have to do!!! Thanks for any updates you can provide! John L
December 30, 200916 yr Hello gentlemen,FWIW, I had the same problems after a reinstall on new OS - posted a thread here last week and a fine gentlemen told me to go into the "configuration manager" for the "41" and set to "medium" and save. It absolutely FIXED the problem for me..........no graphical annomolies - I'm using the BFE 285 OCFU and latest nVidia drivers and I am heavily overclocked.Good luck,Tom Tom Higginbotham - Montgomery, AL, USA

It absolutely FIXED the problem for me..........no graphical annomolies -But that means turning off the icing option :-( That is one of the lovely features of the aricraft. But it does raise the question: the RHS panel of the config manager concerns the VC - what does it mean to turn off icing in the VC but leave it on in the external model (LHS panel of config manager)???What does it mean to have one OFF and one ON?RTFM methinks!JL
December 30, 200916 yr RTFM methinks!Well I R'd the FM and it did not help :-)Does anyone know what the icing options in the config manager mean? Does it refer only to the visibility of the icing effect from the external or VC perspective? Or does it refer to the icing effect itself?(Even if its just the view from the VC, it would be a pity to lose that!)JL
December 31, 200916 yr Fellows,For "now", I'd rather have a glich free graphics in vc than have icing with the gliches, "until" they get a patch to fix this. Me thinks.TH Tom Higginbotham - Montgomery, AL, USA
January 1, 201016 yr Actually, I was confused! The glitch I have is the switch bezel problem! I adjusted some graphics settings and its now almost gone. But while I was doing some terrible things (switching liveries in mid-air for example!) I did manage to get the graphics glitch that is the topic of this forum :-)It went away when I behaved myself!JL
January 3, 201016 yr I've got releable repro for this issue today. My setup: FSX SP2, Vista x64, Saitek X52pro, TrackIR 41. Free flight: C172, KJFK, Clear, Day2. Switch to JS413. Switch back to C1724. Switch to JS41 againIssue is here. Also, if after getting this issue we continue and switch to C172 again we will have found that no any default aircraft has VC. I've never seen both of those issues before JS41. This makes me think that this is purely PMDG bug and no magic like chanding video drivers will help. Evgeny Krivosheev
November 12, 201015 yr Probably, Christopher...I have Vista64 and have disabled UAC. I have no problems with my Configuration Manager saving settings.I wonder how long we have to wait for this service pack, I don't think I would buy the long awaited NGX until I see some commitment towards solving this irksome problem on a product that has been on the market for some time now. Otherwise I would expect the same type of problems with NGX.Probably, Christopher...I have Vista64 and have disabled UAC. I have no problems with my Configuration Manager saving settings.Go tthem too and have been wating for the "small patch" ever since. I hope this doesn't become the same in NGX having to wait for "small patches" to come out because a new product is being developed. :( I really love this J41 but these quirks take some of the pleasure out. November 13, 201015 yr Switching to DX10 preview mode solved this to me.I did all testing with the J41 tutorial flight. All settings maxed in the J41 config manager.Vista 64 bit, Nvidia GTX275, newest nvidia driver, antialiasing and anisotropic filtering is set to application controlled.DX10 preview is causing issues with the nav lights though that is a known FSX bug.Peter Grunt
