November 26, 200916 yr There has been recent discussion of using a seperate (small) touchscreen for their FMC. I was thinking of maybe getting this or possibly this.. Not for the FMC idea, but for other addon's. It may be a good combination with this program, although it would still not fix the need to run in windows mode for FSX users, it would make it more of a stand alone system, which for me anyway, has raised an eyebrow :( i9 10920x @ 4.8 ~ MSI Creator x299 ~ 256 Gb 3600 G.Skill Trident Z Royal ~ EVGA RTX 3090ti ~ Sim drive = M.2 2-TB ~ OS drive = M.2 is 512-gb ~ 5 other Samsung Pro/Evo mix SSD's ~ EVGA 1600w ~ Win 10 Pro Dan Prunier

I have one of those, however prefer only to usethis addon on my Flightsim puter./ Leffe Leif A Mikkelsen **********************
November 28, 200916 yr HiThe mention of Navigraph may indeed cause a little confusion as they recently announced support for another addon not under discussion here, the Aivlasoft EFB.The Aivlasoft one has some really nice features too, the key being it generates up to date ground, departure, enroute, star and approach plates from FMS and FSX data. They have a 30-day fully functional demo and the charts indeed look really nice. However, even though also have the option for a network install, likewise as with the FS Widgets EFB it can't be used on a single computer installation if FSX is running on Full screen. That in itself is a deal-breaker for me unfortunately..
December 21, 200916 yr I was keeping an eye on this and recently downloaded the demo along with the google moving map. It's really a sweet product and had some issues with it at first. Their support forum looked abandoned but I was very pleased to see an almost immediate responce (see this thread). The Developer (Fermin) seems like a great guy and even took the time to take our discussion to private emails until my glitches were fully resolved. It's a very customizable app and really has added a lot to my sim experience. As far as the issue with FSX and full screen goes, if you have a second comp or laptop networked you can run it from that and then enjoy full screen FSX. Just use Synergy, a free addon discussed here. The problem is Microsoft made radical changes to the directX window in FSX that no longer allows stand-alone .exe's files to float on top because it takes control of the desktop (i.e both monitors on a twin monitor system get blacked out, under FS2004 they did not)I have a theory I might test later in the week. I know you can create a virtual machine and assign it, it's own IP address. But, if you could disable one of your monitors, yet have it enabled on the VM, then you could run Widgets and FSX in full screen mode with no problem. You would just need to install Synergy on both your OS side and virtual machine. You could probably even assign a couple virtual cores to the VM since FSX doesn't use them. It may seem like a lot to set up to fly a sim, but not if you can write a simple .bat file it isn't.Food for thought anway. i9 10920x @ 4.8 ~ MSI Creator x299 ~ 256 Gb 3600 G.Skill Trident Z Royal ~ EVGA RTX 3090ti ~ Sim drive = M.2 2-TB ~ OS drive = M.2 is 512-gb ~ 5 other Samsung Pro/Evo mix SSD's ~ EVGA 1600w ~ Win 10 Pro Dan Prunier
December 21, 200916 yr For charts in the UK I use the Free NATS service hereI have a 2nd machine so can have it open as I fly.All Airport information is here, all plates etcThe great news is they all remain current, no need for any updates!I'm sure most countries will have a similar service.best wishesKev Townsend
December 21, 200916 yr Somebody got some experience with this piece of software. Looks pretty good, better than fswidget's EFB IMO.

December 22, 200916 yr Hi all,I was one of the beta-tester for this Aivlasoft EFB-program.The main purpose for this program was to reduce paperwork in the sim-cokpits. As examples we saw the Airbus Less Paper Cockpit (LPC) laptops - this was a big item at the tailstrike of a A340-500 at Melbourne - or of other devices descript in the article here: http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electronic_flight_bag. If you do a google search for Electronic Flight bag you will find photos too from this new features in aviation in several aircrafts, for instance fix installed in Boeings 777 or laptop based installations. That
December 22, 200916 yr I've tested it and it is very nice. I however still very much prefer fswidgets personally. I like having the weather links you can set up and the google map of course. I also like the way that its compact. They both seem like very nice programs though. i9 10920x @ 4.8 ~ MSI Creator x299 ~ 256 Gb 3600 G.Skill Trident Z Royal ~ EVGA RTX 3090ti ~ Sim drive = M.2 2-TB ~ OS drive = M.2 is 512-gb ~ 5 other Samsung Pro/Evo mix SSD's ~ EVGA 1600w ~ Win 10 Pro Dan Prunier
