November 26, 200916 yr Yep, this certainly has some terrific features! For a start integrating flight planning with Google Earth/Maps means you can actually see the terrain you will be flying over. For those of us searching for those little OZx airports there is another real bemefit. If you go to the OZx website, you'll be able to download an Excel csv file that will put all those little airports into Plan-G as waypoints. Thanks to the Plan-G team for a great (FREE!) VFR flight planing tool!Cheers,Noel. 11th Gen i9-11900K @ 3.5GHz | nVidia GeForce RTX 3080 | Corsair 64 GB RAM | Samsung 970 EVO Plus 2TB | Asus 27" RoG G-Sync Track IR5 | Thrustmaster Warthog | CH Products Pedals
November 27, 200916 yr Commercial Member I was going to try it out but it's not SP1 compatible. :-( Regards, Dave Opper HiFi Support Manager
November 30, 200916 yr I was going to try it out but it's not SP1 compatible. :-(You only need SP2 to connect to FS via Simconnect (since it uses Tim Gregson's managed library, which will only connect to SP2). If you have SP1, you can still run it either standalone, or connect via FSUIPC.

November 30, 200916 yr It's a very nice, polished program. Payware level quality. It's focused on VFR planning, but I'd love the ability to draw radials out from VOR's. Also, some sort of measuring tool would be awesome. There are some finicky bits on my machine. I always loose the ability to zoom in and out with the mouse wheel, for example ... also, the various panels and modal windows sometimes behave a bit oddly or disappear. It's a work-in-progress, though, and even with the finickiness it's my new go-to planning tool. It's a great option for FTX flying.
December 2, 200916 yr I love the add on and although I have a fairly decent system, Plan G chugs when I'm running that along with FSX.
December 3, 200916 yr Anyway to get it without logging into that forum? I don't want to make a username/pass to get one file. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
