December 8, 200916 yr That's great news, and I'll be aniticipating the SP1 update with great anticipation. Until that time, I'm still perfectly satisfied with what the current plane gives us. It's just a pity I currently have no time to fly it -.-I think I said this somewhere else, too, probably in the Qualitywings forums. I noticed people were comapring the QW757 to the Airsimmer A320 for some reason. To be honest, I think this is a comical situation. Just look at what's happened: Airsimmer promised us the world, and so far we have only got a city. QW has promised us nothing but a city and delivered it on time. Now, though, they can make of that city a metropolis. The reason that they can do that, is because they never aimed at giving us the metropolis, but seeing as how people would like a metropolis, they can now make it and deliver something that's even better than what they originally wanted to give. It's a fantastic situation for everybody involved. December 8, 200916 yr I noticed that on their webpage there are some disclaimers. One is with the 3 hz processor requirement. That rules out many machines now in use. The other is the disclaimer on Windows 7. I would think that it would be to their advantage to get a copy of Windows 7 and give it a workout. I almost bought the plane, but I want to see some of these disclaimers disappear. Maybe one does indeed need a 3 hz processor, but I'm a bit skeptical.
December 8, 200916 yr Commercial Member A quad core CPU rated lass than 3.0 will be more than enough. I'm not sure who posted those requirements for the CPU... :(
December 8, 200916 yr Can't really blame anyone for a win7 disclaimer. Neither FSX nor FS9 (even more so!) were designed with 7 in mind. Standard precaution I'd imagine. The "Advanced" is a lot more along the lines of the add-on "that promises the world". Nobody is forced to purchase the "Basic" package, therefore, there is no reason for complaint. Unfortunately it's just one of those Airsimmer decisions that leaves a clear impression that casts them in a bad light. Airsimmer DID 'promise the world', but all of a sudden comes out with a 'Basic' version, claiming financial pressures at that. Thus no amount of clear advertisement of what Basic is or is not can overcome the impression that they're having difficulty delivering the 'world' they originally set out to produce. Regards, Mark

Airsimmer promised us the world, and started out not giving us that. Qualitywings didn't promise us the world and delivered on what they promised. That's the only thing I'm saying, there is absolutely no need to - indeed - rehash the topic and read in it all kinds of stuff I never meant to say. Furthermore, I'm not complaining - heck, I couldn't care less. I get the advanced when the damned thing is released. Now please, let us move on from this doomed topic and talk about the Qualitywings 757. I just think what comes out first is really a moot point since people can choose what they end up buying in the end. I hope that explains myu position a little bit better.*Side Question regarding the QW 757* Do the wipers work in the VC and external model? Thanks Ark -------------------------- I9 9900K @ 5ghz / 32GB G.Skill (Samsung B) / Aorus Master Mobo / EVGA GTX 2080Ti FTW 3

December 9, 200916 yr Thats a lot of money for an upgrade fellas. If that was about my post, I was just using that as an example. Though it does surprise me (pleasantly I might add) that you said that you thought that was too much money!
December 9, 200916 yr No wipers.Aww man. No wipers but the seats move? :(As ridiculous as it may sound, I am gonna pass. The aircraft looks great, but to me, it is the little details that I really look for (like external moving wipers and wipers visible from the VC). One of the reasons I still use FS9 is because of the VC rain effects (I like flying in bad weather), and without wipers, it is sort of wierd. lolCan anybody from QW answer if this is something planned in an update? Thanks Ark -------------------------- I9 9900K @ 5ghz / 32GB G.Skill (Samsung B) / Aorus Master Mobo / EVGA GTX 2080Ti FTW 3
December 9, 200916 yr Commercial Member Ark,Wipers aren't planned on at the moment. For what it's worth, wipers have zero effect on improving the visibility in rainy weather... they're all for show.Regards,Emil

December 9, 200916 yr Some add-ons they actually do push back the rain... I'm trying to remember who modeled this... :(Les, I believe Flight1's ATR did that, IIRC.Emil, thank you for the response. I know the wipers don't actually work, but it is the whole "immersion" factor that it adds for me. It is just that little something extra. The model work you all did looks great, the sound is amazing, and the panel seems to strike a nice balance between function and complexity as well. I am just a little disappointed to see moving seats and moving nosewheel lever (both items you may not ever actually really look at), but then not have animated wipers (something you look directly at while you are flying at in bad weather). This is just something I look for, and I know I am more than likely in a very small majority. Your product seems to be very well received though. Congratualtions on a strong release. :( Ark -------------------------- I9 9900K @ 5ghz / 32GB G.Skill (Samsung B) / Aorus Master Mobo / EVGA GTX 2080Ti FTW 3
December 9, 200916 yr For what it's worth,AirSimmer has also modeled the wipers removing rain, Wiper effectiveness is also modeled with speed. Faster wipers means wiping is effective at a higher speed, after that speed - rain just doesn't really stick to the windshield anymore. It's "Blowdried" per se, and windshield wipers become ineffective. It's perfectly possible to model wiper effectiveness in FS9.While the A320 is the only product I own with this feature. I definitely don't think we were the first. (Others have pointed at the F1 ATR in this thread) :).Otherwise, I'm half and half on taking the leap on a QW Purchase. Have some other things that Require my money first(need to do my 90 day passenger currency in the Piper Archer, real life), but it's definitely on the list of items I'm currently interested in. :( Regards,Ryan BriggsAS Customer support
