PMDG MD-11 Advanced Tutorial 1 released

Very many thanks to Marcus and all involved for getting this out.A query though if I may.....I have FSD KORD installed and my NavData is EAG-0913 from Navigraph. When I load the flightplan into the FMC and go to the LAT REV page to enter the runway, I have a snag. I don't have a runway 14. What's more, I only have runways 4, 9 & 10 and SID ORD4.Am I missing some SIDSTAR data or something? Thanks

It certainly should be. Just load up your repaint after selecting the tutorial flight. You may, I think, have to reload the cold & dark 'panel state'.

Yes it is. Just do as Phil says in his reply. The most important thing is that you do load the saved flight before switching to AA, otherwise you'll not have the correct weather loaded.Markus

Phil,I've just checked the newest charts for KORD dated with Nov 05, and runway 14R is still there. So I've no idea why it would be missing in your FMC... ORD4 is just fine, this is just the successor SID for ORD3...Markus

Thank You very much Markus and PMDG,Happy Holidays to you!

I don't know what to do in order to be able to fly this tutorial. Will it be a problem with my MD11 installation, or am I just using an incorrect SIDSTAR file for KORD?Can anyone help, please :( Maybe someone could let me know which/whose sidstar file you are using?I've attached the one I have. Thanks

This one looks fine, all runways there. Are you sure that you actually DID scroll down in the SID page? The ones you list as available are those visible on the first page. Try scrolling down...Markus

Phil!I still use Airac cycle 0912 and that will be ok! SID ORD4 is replacing SID ORD3 only./ Leffe

Phil: That file is from my US collection, I have not tested this file with the tutorial yet and may not for some time. Since there are no departures at KORD, and ORD4 is just instructions on which frequency to use and to be above a certain altitude by a certain DME... you should be able to do the tutorial by only selecting the departure runway without a SID.EDIT: About once every six months I get asked about KORD departures because there is a "SID" but there are no departure routes and that might be confusing to some. Therefore, I am now including a SID with no route and I have added this feature to the 0913 KORD sidstar file attached. To use this attachment, right mouse click on the link and select save to.. someplace like your desktop, then move it to your pmdg/sidstar folder. Hope this helps eliminate a little bit of confusion here.
