HelloIt needs to be on, otherwise you see some screen tearing when you pan your view quickly.

HelloJust curious, Why?
I don't have tearing issue with it OFF, but with my Radeon 4830, I lose framerates with it on. I'm in the process of switching back to Nvidia, I'll see how it looks when I install it. KJ

ON because of tearing. No framerate loss with VSNC whatsoever.
