Where did the pogo stick come from

Featured Replies

I hate to start another thread but I would love to know what is the story behind the pogo stick and will we ever see a pogo stick aircraft in FSX(Many others have wanted this too!)?Taylor Oldham

Took me weeks to find the stick in the FS9 MD-11 :( Golli

LOL... I found it in the 747.

can you let me in on this, what is a pogo stick????

I wonder if it is related to an article in the magazine Flying decades ago, which was a "pilot report' of a powered pogo stick. As I recall, the power came from a combustion chamber that was fueled with gasoline resulting is quite a kick and one had to really hold on. It was hilarious.Pogo sticks are great if you can't get a crew car from the FBO or if there is no FBO.

Gents-For you n00bs....The pogo-stick is a long standing piece of PMDG humor that dates back to 2003 or so.We had announced a new product, and a very excited member of the forum told us that he'd buy a pogo-stick for FS if it was modeled by PMDG...Every product since then has had a pogo-stick stashed someplace on the airplane...It is considered bad luck to tell anyone else where to find the pogo-stick. You must go find it yourself, but you then may brag that you know its where-abouts...Makes for some good laughs internally as we debate where to stash the pogo-stick. Now the woodpigeon will be harder to hide...

Yet another reason that makes PMDG stand out from the crowd! That's a pretty cool story! Made me smile!Cue around 100 posts "I'd buy (insert comedy object here) if it was modelled by PMDG." :-)
