February 3, 201016 yr Since I will be taking my motorcycle for a road trip around Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia this Summer, I decided to take FSX out for a spin :)Start at Baddeck Airstrip...and head East until you catch the coast. Then...head somewhat in a northerly direction about 3 miles off the Cape Breton's coast at about 3,500 ASL...and simply enjoy the splendour that FSX can dish out on what many have said it the most scenic drive in the world. Yes...the world!Fly to the most northern tip, and then take the Gulf Side on towards the Bay of Fundy. Perhaps, you might catch some whales out in the Bay... BTW, when you get close to the north tip..and are about to turn West to catch the Gulf Side...look at your two-o'clock direction...and you will see the far away shore of Newfoundland's South Coast!Don't use any weather generator...but use FSX's Cold Front, for some activity and fun...yet to give you great visibility for rubber necking.Seriously....Cape Breton Island is very well done in FSX. Be sure to have FSX as October, to catch the color!Have a good flight....Mitch

What a killer ride. Stunning!! Dan George (woodhick)Check out Greenbrier Aero Club, the VA for and about the GA pilot.

Stunning!!Again, off topic but this one of our summer rides we are planning. Supposedly the best ride in the country with 318 corners in 11 miles :) You have the Dragon, Hellbender 28 and quite a few others down there that we are going to ride down from NJ to cover... Check it out...http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/19093998http://www.tailofthedragon.com/Nice to see other simmers out there on two wheels instead of two wings LOL :)-Paul Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk
February 3, 201016 yr Nice to see other simmers out there on two wheels instead of two wings LOL :)-PaulHow about waders instead of wheels or wings?? I've caught a salmon or two in the Margaree River in years past up there (the valley just west of Baddeck)...it's truly lovely country. Wayne KlocknerUnited Virtual

And catch one of the local dances that occur almost everynight during July & August along the Ceilidgh Trail (Rt 19 ) from Southwest Margareeto Judique. Paul

Stunning!!My wife and I can't wait! It is on my 'Bucket List'.Lobster, fiddle music, fine wine, great cuisine...and getting there either by my G.A. plane (I wish....lottery...are you listening?!?!?!?!?) or real for now, by my bike...is so anticipated! I think that FSX did a great job of the coastline especially with the cliffs and look-outs.MitchAgain, off topic but this one of our summer rides we are planning. I DO THOUGH WARN YOU, Paul....the THP have been VERY AGGRESSIVE on the Dragon, and have sometimes 20 units sitting in the bush to cite you for any little infraction. It has turned off many enthusiasts, who have vowed not to return to that state until they lighten up.... Take it VERY EASY..and do not even so much as touch any of the lines upon the road. You will be cited! That aside, enjoy.Mitch

Thanks for your suggestion.:)BTW, one of the reasons (amongst many for this trip) was the Maritime Fiddle festivals. We can't get enough of that.....Mitch
February 3, 201016 yr Sounds fab to me ............all I'd add is that if you ever want to see the land that inspired much of this fiddle-some magic, cross the pond;- the Scottish highlands truly are the most breathtaking place on Earth, especially the West Coast (facing out to the Atlantic) and the Islands (Outer and Inner Hebrides). Scotland is a place of magic. I'm Scottish by heritage but now living 70 miles South of the border, on the English side.Although I'm not generally interested in too much North American travel per se, Newfoundland, Novo Scotia and Far North East New England (Maine) are definately on my Bucket List. :)

This is the plane that I think I wish to investigate after retirement. It is the one in some of my Screen Shot Forum 'General Post' shots....Cheers,Mitch
