March 26, 201016 yr To those who may be interested,We have just released a minor update of our original 2005 KBWI scenery which should show up in the library sometime tomorrow (search AVSIM library for KBWI V2.1). The new scenery does not require any of our previous versions and uses a simple installer program that does not change any configuration files, system files, or fs9 settings. The updated version includes the following improvements:1) Removal of 0 byte size files that caused issues on some computers2) New ground imagery to merge with surrounding area3) New landclass file to adjust local area immediately around the airport4) New AFCAD file to accurately place cargo planesWe hope you enjoy the minor updates and if you have any questions, feel free to contact me here on the forum or using the AVSIM message system. As always, this little project is our way of saying "thanks" to the greater FS community we have come to enjoy so much over the years. Thanks,Joshua
March 26, 201016 yr Josh your scenery was great back in 2005 (and hard on the frames as I recall). But with the new hardware it rocks.Well done guys :( Al Stiff
March 26, 201016 yr Thanks for posting the update Joshua; it really is a great scenery. Looking forward to trying out the new version. John G.
March 26, 201016 yr Hello,Thank's for HU Hey Josh, will the new version still need a MegaScenery patch?I have the same question.Wanted to search an answer in the readme (nothing about found) and on on the website but ....Picky :) but can you correct definitively your readme about the adresse of the website ?http://foxtrotsierra.org give a "Error 404 - Not Found"Regards.Gus.
March 26, 201016 yr I am not familiar with the scenery, I wouldn't mind seeing some screen shots. Mike...

Gus and Mark, the current Megascenery patch that is in the library (KBWI Patch for MegaScenery Mid-Atlantic Volume 5) works with KBWI V2.1. You can just reapply the patch after you install KBWI V2.1. That way you will still enjoy the integration into MegaScenery, but have the new AFCAD and lower fps trees. If you have any problems, just post them back here or send me a message using the AVSIM message system. Hopefully, it'll be smooth flying for you.Mike, I'd be happy to post a few shots once I get home tonight. Anything in particular that you would like to see?Gus, unfortunately our website is now offline. Matt and I started our respective families soon after we released the original KBWI in 2005. By 2007 our real life responsibilities took precedent over maintaining the website. I apologize for leaving the foxtrotsierra.org website address in the readme.txt. It was just an oversight on my part. However, I am thinking of opening up a new website or at least setting up a special gmail account to answer questions concerning KBWI. I'm checking in on this thread and AVSIM about twice a day; so, if you have any more questions or corrections, just post them here. Finally, I just checked and KBWI V2.1 is posted now in the library. Take care,Joshua

It is a great scenery package!I went ahead and uninstalled 2.0 and then installed 2.1 along with the megascenery patch that I managed to find on an old backup. I took this screenshot of the area during spring. I must have done something wrong because of the band of texture that doesn't quite match the megascenery like the rest of the textures. Maybe I missed some textures, so I may just try the patch again. If you can shed any light on this, please let me know. Thanks again and we all hope you will have more time in the future to continue with this airport.Airbus Al Kaupa Digital Storm purchased 8/17/2011; Win7x64: Asus P8P67 Deluxe; Intel i7 2600K@3,9 GHZ; nVidia GTX 560Ti; 8GB DDR3 1600 Corsair Dominator; Power Corsair HX 750W; Samsung 850 EVO 500GB SSD; 300GB WD VelociRaptor; 1TB Seagate.

March 27, 201016 yr Josh; Thanks so much for the update. I've been using this scenery since it came out, it's great. I wanted to point out, though, that like the original version 2.0, gate A7 is mislabeled on the top of the jetway. It's correct on the ground label, but the gate number sign cube on the top of the end of the jetway says A6. Not a huge deal but I thought you'd want to know. Dave Paige

You could also just rename it to .old or something else so that it will not load. What you are seeing is the landclass file take priority over Megascenery and causing the conflict. I will make sure to upload a KBWI V2.1 Megascenery to the library sometime in the next few days that takes care of all of these things. All, sorry for not getting some pics on here. I came home that night from work to quickly realize my wife was going to give birth to our newest son that same evening. So, I haven't forgotten you all, I'm just sleep deprived and very slow. Thanks,Joshua
