May 1, 201016 yr Hey ******* thanks for the updated shaders but some how I still got texture loading problems I change shader ver in cfg pics any clues [GRAPHICS]SHADER_CACHE_PRIMED_10=1693500672SHADER_CACHE_PRIMED=1693500672D3D10=0TEXTURE_MAX_LOAD=1024NUM_LIGHTS=8AIRCRAFT_SHADOWS=1AIRCRAFT_REFLECTIONS=1COCKPIT_HIGH_LOD=1LANDING_LIGHTS=1AC_SELF_SHADOW=0EFFECTS_QUALITY=2GROUND_SHADOWS=0TEXTURE_QUALITY=3IMAGE_QUALITY=0See_Self=1Text_Scroll=1ForceFullScreenVSync=1 ALLOW_SHADER_30=1SHADER_CACHE_VERSION=3 HIGHMEMFIX=1STALE_BUFFER_THRESHOLD=1024Looks like you don't have a proper line break on your ALLOW_SHADER_30=1 or your HIGHMEMFIX=1 line. May 1, 201016 yr Hi *******,All I keep getting now is a fatal error, FSX will not load. ATTENTION ALL ATI and NVIDIA USERS....New version is out, this one is completely SM3.0 (even the UI shaders are 3.0 now)The changes on the new version include:- Terrain shaders not 'hybrid' 2.0 / 3.0 shaders, now FULLY 3.0- Global Shader (Buildings/Runways) not an hybrid 2.0 / 3.0 now fully SM3.0 as well.- UI Shaders (top menu) are now Shader 3.0 (before they were 2.0)So, with this update, every single shader has been ported to SM3.0. If you downloaded the previous version or received a BETA from me, download this version, this one is the FINAL Shader 3.0 mod. No more BETA's as this will solve all outstanding issues with ATI users. Please, feedback... specially ATI users and performance. nVidias work fairly well with this mod, its the ATI's i'm concerned about. have a happy weekend all. Here's the link:http://www.venetubo.com/SM3_v1.1.zipEnjoy, Former Beta Tester - (for a few companies) - As well as provide Regional Voice Set Recordings Two: AMD-9950X | One: AMD-7950X3D | Three: Asus TUF 4090s | Three: 64GB DDR5 RAM 6000mhz | Three: Cosair 1300 P/S | Three: 990Pro 2TB NVME One: Eugenius ECS2512 - 2.5 GHz Switch | Three: Ice Giant Elite CPU Coolers | Three: 75" 4K UHDTVs | One: Boeing 737NG Flight Deck
May 1, 201016 yr Author Hi *******,All I keep getting now is a fatal error, FSX will not load. You shoudn't have any problems with an nVidia card, in fact the problems were only for ATI's can you reboot or make sure that you didn't delete your ShadersHLSL folder?
May 1, 201016 yr ******* any way I can edit the effects of the water reflections like what FS Water Configurator does? I want to tone down the reflections by a lot. Everything else is running great!!
May 1, 201016 yr Hi,System reboot, I did not delete the ShadersHLSL folder. Same problem, FSX stops with a fatal error. May 1, 201016 yr Author ******* any way I can edit the effects of the water reflections like what FS Water Configurator does? I want to tone down the reflections by a lot. Everything else is running great!!You can... but its also risky, you can mess up things. I'm creating 'Macros' to make water 'configurable' by this, I mean, wind speed, wave height, reflections etc.If you see (in the root FSX folder) the file WaterClass.xml you see the options that DX 10 allows to change. You can NOT change (or add) SM3.0 options there, but you will.. I just need to add the macros inside the shader files and import the waterclasses... but, I really want to do some flying guys :) maybe later next week,Hi,System reboot, I did not delete the ShadersHLSL folder. Same problem, FSX stops with a fatal error. And how about the 'Cache' folder?it's in C:\Users\[Your username here]\AppData\Local\FSXthe above path SHOULD exists, but you need to delete its contents (two folders) one called Shaders and the other one called Shaders10BTW, what is the stop error? are you using SP2? SP1? RTM?
May 1, 201016 yr Hi,Erased both Shaders and Shaders10, I allowed FSX to rebuild them. I'm using SP2.Same problem every time, fatal error, looking for a solution but never finds one, CTD. May 1, 201016 yr Author Two things that come to mind:1) A corrupted fsx.cfg (so probably a good idea to backup your current one and have FSX create a new one for you)2) A corrupted download... ShadersHLSL with data corrupted (reverting back to your original will solve it)try the above... I'll be here trying to help you out.
May 1, 201016 yr Hi,This is what I have done.1. Erased fsx.cfg and let FSX rebuild it2. re-downloaded your sm3_v1.1 file3. opened the zip file and saved its contents to a folder on my data drive4. copied your d3d9.dll, enbseries and shadersHLSL folder into FSX's main folder5. erased the shaders and shaders10 folders and let FSX rebuild themStarted FSX and I get a fatal error, CDT after a second attempt to load FSX Two things that come to mind:1) A corrupted fsx.cfg (so probably a good idea to backup your current one and have FSX create a new one for you)2) A corrupted download... May 1, 201016 yr You shouldn't delete the shaders and shaders10 file. Just replace your shadershsl whatever file in your main fsx directory with the one in his zip. and follow instructions in the readme
May 1, 201016 yr Author Try disabling the ENBSeries mod.You can do this by simply renaming the file d3d9.dll to something like d3d9.dll.DISABLEDAlso, the stop error window should have a 'details' arrow, what module does it say its failing?
May 1, 201016 yr Hi,******* said to delete both (shaders and shaders10) folders. You shouldn't delete the shaders and shaders10 file. Just replace your shadershsl whatever file in your main fsx directory with the one in his zip. and follow instructions in the readmeHi,I disabled the enb mod, same problem. It does not give a details arrow nor does it say which module is causing the fatal error.Try disabling the ENBSeries mod.You can do this by simply renaming the file d3d9.dll to something like d3d9.dll.DISABLEDAlso, the stop error window should have a 'details' arrow, what module does it say its failing? May 1, 201016 yr Author Mike, revert back to your original ShadersHLSL file, keep d3d9.dll renamed, that will effectively revert ALL changes and get you back to your previous state. btw, what nVidia driver are you using?
