(...) RB 211, PW 2040... :(
What else could one possibly need if there's already a couple of RB-211's setting the mood for everyone on the airplane? That seems about enough for me.

K'naan, Airbourne, Theory of a Deadman, Akon, and stuff like that.Never actually heard those in FSX before, but I tweaked it, and I added K'naan's Wavin' Flag as the background music.

None ...... but with two computers in the same room, I fly on one and cruise the web on the other. :(

I listen to quite a few different styles of music whenever my work or personal life calls for airline travel. I listen to quite a bit of 70's and 80's rock--Kenny Loggins, Journey, Peter Frampton, Elton John, Fleetwood Mac, Boston. It was the popular music of my teens and early adulthood. I also love listening to instrumental rock and some smooth jazz--mainly from jazz guitarists such as Craig Chaquico (formerly with Jefferson Starship) and Peter White (who performed with Al Stewart most remembered for "Year of the Cat"). I also like to listen to music from pop stars like Pablo Cruise, Christopher Cross, Ambrosia and Paul Davis. Christopher Cross and I exchange emails from time to time--he is still performing some thirty years after he first hit the music world and there is a small but loyal fan base, and he takes the time to communicate with us when he can.All of these artists seem to go hand in hand with flying for me. I imagine younger members here enjoy the music of their day. I've never listened to music when flying as pilot in command--I find the fewer distractions, the more I can stay ahead of the aircraft (or trike if I am flying a trike). However when I use the sim I almost always listen to music, same artists as above.-John

One or two Sundays a month, we fly to Nevada for brunch, and then up to Idaho for cheaper fuel and lotto tickets. It's around 325 miles round trip. Once I'm away from our airport which is under the Class B veil, we listen to XM radio 60's, 70's, and a mix on channel 22 that spans earlier years to the present, rock and some light country. The XM is routed to the audio panel & then to the headphones. Can mute if desired when ATC comes up, but it's usually just background levels to start with, and is easy to talk over. When approaching our airport enviroment, the music goes off again...............as I have four comm channels I might deal with. It's two comms that monitor the standby channels.L.Adamson
