May 31, 201016 yr Hi Lee,Not if NismoRR installed REX2 the way he states (clouds and water only) it was installed. If clouds and water are the only options selected via the REX2 menu, then REX2 did not touch the halo.bmp file. The LIGHT THEMES section needs to be checked for the halo.bmp, spotlight.bmp and/or fx_2.bmp file(s) within FSX to be replaced by REX2. REX2 is the cause. It's messing up the halo.bmp file.Lee Former Beta Tester - (for a few companies) - As well as provide Regional Voice Set Recordings Two: AMD-9950X | One: AMD-7950X3D | Three: Asus TUF 4090s | Three: 64GB DDR5 RAM 6000mhz | Three: Cosair 1300 P/S | Three: 990Pro 2TB NVME One: Eugenius ECS2512 - 2.5 GHz Switch | Three: Ice Giant Elite CPU Coolers | Three: 75" 4K UHDTVs | One: Boeing 737NG Flight Deck

May 31, 201016 yr Author Mike, Your lights did the trick for me! Awesome! Had big smiles on my face last night! :( Thank you very much kind sir.BTW, as you just posted, I never checked the boxes to allow REX to change anything besides clouds and water, including wave animations. While we're on the REX subject, is there any downside to using the airport textures in REX? Performance? I'm always hesitant to do things that to my FSX install that might introduce other problems (like the lights) and want to keep my performance as good as possible. I suppose we all do. But I would like to try some of the runway textures if it doesn't cause any problems or performance hit.Todd
May 31, 201016 yr Turns out it was XGraphixs in my case that overwrote the halo.bmp. Not sure why it hosed the lights after this reinstall, it's been fine for years. I have a 'virgin' copy of FSX installed on a second machine to be able to compare with the 'working' copy on this machine and the default halo is obvious. However Mikes works much better than the default so it's a keeper! May 31, 201016 yr Hi Todd,I'm running an I7-975 processor that is overclocked to 4.28GHz, I have not noticed any performance hit between FSX's default textures and the REX2 options I'm using. If there is a hit in performance I think it will be with REX2's High Defenition clouds. The REX2 (options) screen shot I provided eairlier are the settings I use with REX2, It performs very well on my system. Mike, Your lights did the trick for me! Awesome! June 2, 201016 yr I have no problems with my runway lights. But I am annoyed by the large balloon effect of landing lights on AI or my User A/C when viewed from far away. As the plane gets closer in view the lights scale appropriately, but its very ugly to see this phenomenon, especially in daylight. See screenshots below. Is there a way to fix this or is this just the way it is with FSX's graphics engine? A.J. Domingo
