June 9, 201015 yr I have a birthday coming up this month, and I'm hoping to purchase the PMDG J41. Question is, who flys the j41. I mean what airlines (va) are flying this aircraft now? :( John Kirkendoll

June 9, 201015 yr Eastern Airways have by far the the largest JS41 fleet, mainly flying UK domestic flights. There is an Eastern Airways VA too. Other big operators presently are EasyFly (Columbia), Yeti (Nepal), South African Airlink and Venezolana (Venezuela). Former big operators are Origin Pacific (New Zealand), Atlantic Coast/United Express (USA) and Trans States/US Airways. Those are the airlines you want to be looking at if you want lots of J41 flights.廖傑英 Chris ckyliu, proud supporter of ViaIntercity.com. i5 12400F, 32GB, RTX4070, more in "About me" on my profile.

June 10, 201015 yr Author I have checked all the recommended airlines, and they're either no longer operating, or they do not show any J41 aircraft in their inventory. I take that back, South African does, but that would be like flying offline with the atc turned off (not enought activity). I guess I'll either pass on purchasing it or download the private repaint and fly aimlessly around the country, like I'm doing now. Thanks everyone. :( John Kirkendoll

June 11, 201015 yr It's too bad that you would not fly one of the best FSX addons made just because not many real-world airlines currently fly it. The plane is amazing.Agreed.Last week I completed a flight in the JS41 from YSCH (Coffs Harbour) to YBBN (Brisbane Int). This is a real world route flown by Brindabella Airlines in JS41's. For this flight I used the PMDG JS41 with the Brindabella livery, FS2Crew for virtual FO and cabin crew, ORBX YSCH & YBBN airports, ORBX FTX terrain textures, REX2 for environment textures and real world weather and finally Ultimate Traffic 2 for real world traffic. It was the most immersive simming experience I have ever had!Other real world routes flown by Brindabella in the JS41 include YSTW (Tamworth) to YBBN and also YPMQ (Port Macquarie) to YBBN via YSCH. All these airports and surrounds along with the overall Australian terrain are beautifully modeled by ORBX. Throw in the other addons I mentioned above and you have flight sim bliss. :(Get it, you won't regret it. Also consider getting FS2Crew for the JS41. It takes this aircraft simulation to another level.Regards,Serge Lian Li PC-P60B | Corsair HX620 | GA-Z370XP-SLI | i5 8600K | Noctua NH-D15 | GTX1080 8GB | 48GB DDR4 3200 | Samsung 960 EVO M.2 1TB | WD 1TB | Dell U3419W 34" | CH Yoke & Pedals | Track IR4 | Win10 64 | MSFS
June 11, 201015 yr JohnGo for it - you won't regret it. I've been so glad of empty skies and limited traffic flying the JS41 around North Africa - it takes quite some time before one is on top of it enough to start looking for distractions in the cockpit.Great product, from a great stable of products at the sharp end of flight simulation. Take time to read the manual and work through the tutorials. Time and money well spent.Peter Lloyd

June 11, 201015 yr I regularly fly the PMDG J41 for DVA with FS2 Voice Commander; ORBX PNW, REX2; RealityXP 500; Ultimate Traffic 2 and can not express how immersive that this is. I am a former RW turbo prop pilot and they modeled this J41 incredibly realistic. Enjoy . . . .Joe Porter Joe Porter
June 11, 201015 yr Author I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who answered my post especially ckyliu. After examining all the VAs listed on VATSIM, I was beginning to think some of you guys were pulling my leg, because not one listed the J41 as an active aircraft in their fleet. Ckyliu, the link you gave me is not even listed in the VATSIM list, which confounds me, because I thought you had to be on the approved listing to fly as a active VA airline to operate. I learn something new every day, which makes this always worth while. While I would prefer to flyin the USSA (United Socialist States of America :( ), I wil go where the action is. So to make a long story short, I am going to get the PMDG J41. Thanks once again all. John Kirkendoll
June 12, 201015 yr Well as we are talking here of a computer experience, no matter how many airlines still fly the J41 I would advise you to get it (include the FS2CREW and the Reality XP Weather Radar). There are so many airports (FTX, Aerosoft, FSDream Team) that are within the reach of the Jetstream... Regards, Martin Martinov / VATSIM 1207931
June 13, 201015 yr Commercial Member Great to hear - presently I've done 42 legs in the J41 for DVA and thats just in the US. Probably my favorite flight was from KASE to KSLC - the LINDZ5 departure was a blast in the J41! Noah Bryant

Tamowrth, Port Macquarie, Coffs Harbour, Brisbane, all the scenery inbetween with FTX. Real life routes. Best addons there are (Both the plane and the scenery)!
