Clean install

Featured Replies

I am going to do a clean install this weekend. I have UTX, GEX, FEX, REX, Traffic X, FSGenesis mesh, and EZDOC and FS Recorder. Any suggestions on order of installation? Do I uninstall ALL addons as well? Any other tips and hints? Thanks mates.

I believe you should install UTX etc before REX for sure.Dont know about the rest.

Does the above list look good to everyone?

Yes :(

Best regards from RelaxX

Don't forget to restart your computer. Can't see that anywhere on your list :(

If you have alot of USB stuff attached it might be worth disconecting them to establish the fsx.cfg file. (ie so you get the best setting for the ProcSpeed=?PerfBucket=?)

I would say after you do this clean install to immediately image the FSX drive so you have a fresh image of a clean install and do not have to do all this again if you want to clean install! Is all of that procedure really required? :( Ive never done any of that (specially the restarts etc.) and my sim looks and performs fine, its never given me trouble! Sometimes I do wonder if we go in for overkill!Hee hee :( But in the end do what makes you happy thats all that matters!
