Have considered it, but I just reinstalled the Safir and it crashes every time I select it from the menu. Not instilling a lot of confidence.

Sounds like a registration/hardware fingerprint issue.

To me as well, which is why buying another product using the same kind of protection puts me off. Activation went fine, installation went fine, but crashing nonetheless.

I don't own the Safir so I don't know what those crashes are about. For what it's worth, the updated BirdDog crashed FSX at first whenever I selected it from the menu. The problem was resolved once I turned off FSX Windows XP compatibility mode. Another user found it was crashing because of Panda Antivirus - once he turned it off, he was fine. FYI that the SibWings support forum is unusually responsive these days, so if you're having problems, it's worth posting there - might be fixable.Alan
