July 10, 201015 yr Know it's a difficult question to answer before a final version. But what is your (PMDG) goal for framerate "friendlyness"? Your current 747 for FSX is VERY heavy on framerates - will 737NG be the same - or will you try to make it more easy on framerates?FSX is still - even on state of the art pc - very demanding - so a framerate friendly plane add-on is a must today. // Jesper Giørtz-Behrens ------------ Graphics artist for Prosim737 panels
July 10, 201015 yr Commercial Member The 747 was our first ever product for FSX, we've learned a lot since... You can expect it to perform better than that. The best thing you can do though is upgrade to an overclocked i7 CPU and at least 4GB of RAM. Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
July 10, 201015 yr Aidan, it depends on level of detail You want to play at. If You want all sliders all the way to the right then... You know what :) But I play J41 at medium details and 1920x1080 and have 15-25fps.
July 11, 201015 yr Seriously, if they can get the same FPS as the JS41 I'll be decently happy...in terms of performance. Anything less then th JS41 I'll have a problem with. I fly in and out of YBBN (FTX) with the JS41 and I plan to do so with the 737, the airport/scenery combined with complex aircraft makes it very very tough on frames. Not that it is the dev's fault or anything but you know, I kind of have a FPS limit that I need to keep it at so I can convince myself I'm flying and not simming. Ron Hamilton
July 11, 201015 yr Commercial Member Hi ryan,i know its difficult to say until beta stages, but are you aiming to be around the md11 in terms of performance,if so, happy bunny indeed Alex Ridge Join Fswakevortex here! YOUTUBE and FACEBOOK
July 12, 201015 yr Commercial Member We're always aiming for better than what we did in the past Alex. What about an i5 750 @ 2.66ghz with 8gb ddr3 ram? :(Overclock that! You can get a 750 to near 4GHz pretty easily with a good cooler. For all intents and purposes my i7 860 is an i5 750 because I have to disable hyperthreading to get the OC high enough - too much heat otherwise with this cooler. July 12, 201015 yr If it's anything like the J41, I'll be in 37 heaven! July 12, 201015 yr If the 737NGX's performance is around the MD-11's I will be extremely happy. J41's frames arn't quite as good for me but I wont complain if the NGX is comparable. Jay Vorkapic
July 12, 201015 yr My frames with the J41 are around 19-25 fps flying in the FTX PNW. the frames go down to 16 or so over major cities. Once your at FL340, the frames will soar. July 12, 201015 yr Commercial Member It's not too difficult, a lot of mobos have really easy options in the BIOS for it now. Probably the diciest part of it is understanding how to up the voltage and by how much to gain stability and where the limits are on that...
