EditVoicePack Modifications

Featured Replies

I have made a few (3) modifications that I think will improve the phraseology for EditVoicepack users, that I plan on uploading to the library within a day or two. These were made for the FAA set, but they'll work for the ICAO mods as well. These mods will only work for FSX. They areIFR Clearance - will now add the expected filed flight level, after the initial altitude clearance. Ex: American 633 is cleared to Eagle Airport as filed fly runway heading, climb and maintain 10000 expect FL380 10 minutes after departure, Departure Frequency is 121.75 Squawk 1234.Note: The word "Airport" is hard coded in the phrase, as it is currently, and I didn't change it. Also the flight level (FL380) will be read back as Flight Level 380IFR Clearance readback - will readback same.Ex: American 633 cleared to Eagle Airport as filed fly runway heading, climb and maintain 10000 expect FL380 10 minutes after departure, Departure Frequency is 121.75 Squawk 1234.Landing clearance will add wind. - The community modifications already does this for takeoff clearance but not for landing.Ex: American 633 wind 270 at 10 cleared to land Runway 27RHope you will find this useful!!

Thanks

Thank you can you also add the friendly exchanges ICAO has when terminating your transmission to the FAA set?

Actually I was thinking of doing that. I didn't know though the ICAO set already did this. (I fly mainly the FAA set since I fly mostly in the US.). You should be able to export the ICAO phrases and re-import them to the My Modification section to use them also in the FAA set. The verbiage is not too out there not to be prototypical under the FAA set.

Thanks

I have identified a couple of typos with the Clearance delivery read back mod, causing the call sign to be suppressed. I have uploaded a fix which should be available tonight or tomorrow! The file name for this fix is "editvoicepack_mods_fix.zip"

Thanks

What exactly is editvoicepack? I suppose it is a program that lets you edit default fsx atc communications? Are there files out there that has made some changes to the default fsx atc or do I have to do these myself? How exactly does everyone use this software? Thanks.

Correct, it modifies default ATC, to something a little more realistic. It comes with a number of modifications to start with in the Community Modification section. You can update it with FAA or ICAO conventions. The ICAO mods are a little more in depth. It also adds airline, airport and aircraft not included in default ATC. You can make your own mods in the My Modification section. Which is where my mods go. You can not add to the community section. You can get more info and download the program here. Note the FSX version is Editvoicepack X (Current version is 4.07), Version 3.1 is for FS2004http://www.editvoicepack.com

Thanks tf51d, I will check it out when I get home from work. Seems like a very useful tool, can't believe I haven't come across it sooner. The website links version 4.0 as the latest. I couldn't find version 4.07.
