October 16, 201015 yr Free speech is not a part of the avsim forums. You will find that a lot of things are not tolerated. Insulting people is one of them. Please read the rules and regulations that you should have read when you signed up.You're obviously not a part of Austin Meyers development team. The key figures who do work with him have all agreed it will be out by some time around the end of the year. I think I'll take their word over yours considering they have been working with him for several years. Do something useful with your time. Don't come here trying to troll the forums about a product you clearly have no interest in using. I know what the rules are. I was within the rules by stating that I THINK it will take 6 to 12 months for a Release Candidate. I never said that I worked for the Development team. It was just an OPINION(post #105) Then you answered your own question-post #106. I don’t understand why you are still confused. If you can’t follow the thread then maybe you should hang up your trolling hat ! And, If you drink Fluoridated Water, I apologize if I offended you. It’s just A PSA in a sarcastic way… AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D, RTX 4080S, Ram - 32GB, 32" 4K Monitor, WIN 11. Eric Escobar
October 16, 201015 yr Commercial Member Ok. I can appreciate the fact it was an opinion. What I want to know is, why would you voice an opinion that has no foundation? Not to mention it contradicts what the developers have said. Almost to the point of a criticism. Saying what you said tells me you disagree with the actual developers who have more of an idea than anyone when it will be released. It confuses me that other people will come in here and start talking about X Planes development stages when they don't even have any part of x plane in the first place.Calling me a troll?Hang up my trolling hat?I'm an x plane developer posting in an x plane forum asking for facts from someone who is not an x plane developer who put out his own timeframe on when xp10 will be out. Not assumptions and opinions. How is that trolling behaviour? You're the one that said it will take 6-12 months. I'm just asking for clarification. No need for sarcasm. We're all mature adults in here. At least I think we are. Maybe I'm asking for too much when I ask for information that backs up some kind of opinionated statement.

And I am curious as to what X-Plane 10 has to offer in thier next sim ! So yeah I'm a troll too ! The Foundation is the photos ive seen and the X-Plane 10 Scenery Blog. So, I don't see how you can go from "no one team member has all of X-Plane 10" to beta to open beta to RC in two months. It also appears to me that they are just wrapping up the Alpha Cycle. And that's based on another X-Plane 10 blog post. AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D, RTX 4080S, Ram - 32GB, 32" 4K Monitor, WIN 11. Eric Escobar
October 16, 201015 yr Commercial Member I guess there's nothing more to say as you have formed your own opinion and will not be swayed.Let's just wait until end of '10 and then follow up.
October 16, 201015 yr Latest unconfirmed information I have says current developing deadline is XX november,so things appear to be pretty much on track. Remember, LR has done major releases atleast 9 times before so they are getting pretty good at it.M Morten Melhuus

October 17, 201015 yr And what happened to Microsoft's experienced flight sim developers. Oh yeah, they laid them off... Happily, there is a whole lot of third party software to take up the slack! :( Products like ORBX's Pacific Northwest just make FSX more and more interesting. Highly thought out aircraft keep coming out too. In other words, the competition for X-Plane hasn't died by a long shot...But that's okay. In addition to MSFS, I have X-Plane 8 & 9. Most likely will get version 10 too. No hurry either... :( L.Adamson
October 18, 201015 yr Wow, I read through all these posts and there were lots of good points made from all sides! Im an FSX user with lots of addons, but I will definetly buy XP10 once its out, as I too, have no allegence to any one sim. Sorry if this has been mentioned before, but is there a time frame for XP10's release?Rob
October 19, 201015 yr Commercial Member Current ETA for release is sometime between late November and late December.
October 20, 201015 yr Another XP10 tuesday... and this week it is not about the planes! It is instead about the new carrier. I thought from the various videos I have seen that the XP9 carrier was very good, so this is less of an improvement in comparison to the xp9 to xp10 planes. The XP10 carrier being the payware XP9 carrier currently available in the X-Plane.org store is cool. I think it looks very good, but I wonder if it will have dynamic lighting, since it is a port from XP9. My only complaint about it is that always flying helicopter in the pictures. Other than that, assuming it is exactly the same as the current payware, this will be a very cool carrier with working elevators! The news:http://www.x-plane.com/pg_news.htmlThe current payware model:http://store01.prostores.com/servlet/x-planestore/Detail?no=244Some pics of the payware model:http://picasaweb.google.com/nicolas.xplane/Nimitz?authkey=Gv1sRgCM6st7WUj7ezLw&feat=directlink# Daniel Miller
October 26, 201015 yr Hi all !New previews are available this week: Beechcraft King Air, Beechcraft Baron, and Lancair LC-40 Columbia 400 !http://x-plane.com/pg_news.html :( Georges - OpenStreetMap - Ubuntu GNU/Linux -
October 26, 201015 yr Happy to see more 3D interiors. Very good lucking.and it seems to continue with the trend of xplane 9 addons becoming xplane 10 defaults. The carrier and the corvalis are both payware. Are they being improved for XP10? Daniel Miller
October 27, 201015 yr The carrier and the corvalis are both payware.seems I was wrong, the corvalis is most likely not payware. (I got that info from the xpilot thread, and it got corrected)Still, looks very good though Daniel Miller

(I got that info from the xpilot thread, and it got corrected)Still, looks very good thoughWas it X-Pilot or somewhere else, that I read that Tom Kyler is programming the 3D interiors for a few aircraft....Anyway, if that's the case.......then great, as some of his creations look very good!L.Adamson
