September 23, 201015 yr I am trying them today on a flight from Mexico City to Atlanta for the first time. Will post my opinions laterBobI did use them on my flight today and to be very honest they were not bad. Some folks think that they speed up ATC too much. I don't think so, as a comparison I have listen to wav files from actual ATC transmission and I noticed that the controllers do speak pretty fast.I am going to keep them for more testing, I did have to laugh, hearing my own pilot voice speeded up, I never talk that fast. :( Bob
September 23, 201015 yr I understand this has improved, but from what I am hearing here, it is an issue perhaps for some.It looks like it's an issue for those who don't have RC. :( Tomaz Drnovsek My FSX Videos My AVSIM Gallery

September 24, 201015 yr Commercial Member It's a good product - my only complaint is that the sound output goes to the speakers. I prefer voice to headphones and other sounds to speakers but RC doesn't allow that. For that reason only, I uninstalled it.The sound goes to the default sound device, so you can simply change that before loading it. It won't affect FS if that's already running. For WideFS users you can have WideClient switch sound devices before auto-loading applications. You could actually do this on the FS PC -- have WideClient load RC for you -- but it would have to be run with a non-zero ClassInstance parameter to stop it clashing with FS. If there was enough demand I suppose I could add the sound device switching facility to FSUIPC's "Programs" option. I added it to WideClient because I run both "It's Your Plane" and "Radar Contact" on the same client PC and wanted RC on the headset and IYP on the overhead.[LATER]I see tjrush gave a good solution too, already.RegardsPete Win10: 22H2 19045.2728 CPU: 9900KS at 5.5GHz Memory: 32Gb at 3800 MHz. RegardsPeteWell, you know my vote!:)If I may clarify though - I have FSX set for voice to USB headset and all other to defaut speakers - so if I understand correctly, if FSX is running and I change system default to USB headset before starting RC - I will get RC *AND* FSX voice output to USB and still get engines, etc to speakers. Have I understood?Thanx,Vic RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160

Have I understood?Yes. Once these programs have opened the device for use, the fact of you changing how they are declared in Windows doesn't generally cause programs to automatically close and reopen them (they would actually have to scan periodically to see if you are changing device category). Of course changing assignments in FS itself would do -- that was partly the other method suggested.Pete Win10: 22H2 19045.2728 CPU: 9900KS at 5.5GHz Memory: 32Gb at 3800 MHz.
