X-Plane 10 Tuesdays on hold...

This hasn't necesarily been my expereince, I have a pretty beefy machine(specs below). And when xplane is good, it's really good 60 fps over 5040 x 1050 resolution. But If I have more than one cloud layer it tanks down to 18 and the fog rolls it.If I fly over an imported scenery then it's pretty good(Flightzone KPDX imports beautifully, so does SunSky Jet KPHL BTW).But if I turn on the pixel shaders it tanks again down to the low 20s.Different aircraft don't seem to affect it too much, I have the falco, the sundowner, all of Nils Danielsens stuff(his helicopter is a work of art IMHO) and the MU2 Marquise.I can live without the pixel shaders, but that cloud layer thing really irks me.FSX I can keep locked at 24 and fly in any weather with 4 cloud layers and it stays put.
I have the same experience. With any weather and an add in aircraft the fog comes in and the fps are so low it is unflyable. I thought it was just my machine and setup.I am looking forward to the next version though!

Actually Goran is right here.. strider said it would take 6 months to integrate... when Goran asked a simple question as to why, strider started blaming the flouride in the water....Plain and simple he's a troll just ignore strider....

Actually he said 6 to 12 months for a Release Candidate, big difference. While I don't think it will take that long, probably closer to 4 months or less, he was right about the delay. Now Goran says it was for New Features, but that is not what the official statement says. It says they weren't going to make the date, pure and simple. I don't doubt that new features will be added, but if that was the only reason for the delay, Austin, would have released first, and add the features later, as he's done in the past. Most likely these new features were scheduled for the first or second update anyway, if the date was met.

Thanks

Can we just leave it at "X Plane 10 will be released soon" and not worry about who knows more about when it's going to be released. Not even the top developers can accurately predict when a piece of software will be released. For someone who has nothing to do with the development process, let alone not having the sim in the first place, to predict a release is borderline stupid.
