November 18, 201015 yr RayHmmm. Tough one... First thought was a big bus (330 for example) but no center gear. Too big to be a small bus b/c of the landing gear....Maybe a 767 but the windows appear very angular where I see the 767 a bit more rounded so I am going with A310...That is my final answer... November 18, 201015 yr Commercial Member It looks like a 757 to me, although the foreshortening of the angle makes it look a little chubbier. The livery seems to be Virgin of some sort, just going by what looks like the ladies on the outer engine nacelles, though they usually paint the housings red. That's my guess, anyway. November 18, 201015 yr I think it's a DC-8 that's eaten too much cake, not that you ever really can have too much cake. November 18, 201015 yr I think it's a DC-8 that's eaten too much cake, not that you ever really can have too much cake. Mmmm....cake.Safety warning disclaimer: note that eating too much cake can make two of your engines fall off, if you are a DC-8AlChanging "spotters" to "spoilers"- in July 1970 Air Canada DC8 flight 621 inadvertly deployed spoilers while airborne, as it commenced flair. One engine dropped off as the aircraft plunged to the runway at Toronto Malton airport (later renamed Pearson International). It managed to get airborne again but while attempting a go around, an explosion caused a second engine to fall into a field followed by the airplane itself. 118 dead. I believe that Douglas subsequently modified the DC8 spoilers so they could not be deployed in flight.Alex Reid
