New official Nvidia drivers out - claiming 33% FPS gain in FS2004...

Featured Replies

I downloaded the new 52.16 drivers and my textures in FS9 are all blurred and jagged. When i installed the driver and i went to the create a flight in FS9, the aircraft had jagged lines. So i thought, ok, this is just a menu problem. However, wheni started a flight the textures were horrible!!. I have AA and AF turned on to 4x and 8x, but still, horrible graphics. Also, when i fly, there is a random flashing of triangles and other shapes. My ram is different speeds, mabye this has something to do with it? Since everyone is getting such good improvements, i want this driver to work. Anyway I went back to my 45.33 driver, this seems to work the best.

Yes, I have very slow redraw rates with FSNavigator and these drivers, everything else seems fine and I can now get my antialising in the card and menus in the simNigelVancouver

Just installed the 52.16 drivers and can confirm what Chris has reported, they fix the menu problems in FS9 full screen when using 2x AA set on the card. They also now allow FSNav to display properly with 2x AA.Not checked fps yet and won't unless there is marked difference in fluidity.GF4 Ti4800SEBTW Chris, I have screen shots of 'stretched' clouds in FS9, thought the new weather engine had got rid of them?

Hii Chris ,I need a help & adviseI hv FX5600 Ultra, Producer : eVGAdownloading the new driver 52,16 from nvidia website or from eVGA website , makes any differance ?Are both files exactly same ?How We should logically approach to this issue ? All my bestHasan Alpay

Why oh why is this thread in the MSFS forum?! :( This applies to ALL simulations, and should be in the appropriate forum :(

FS9 has its (well documented) share of graphics problems with both Nvidia and ATI cards.. this is one of the biggest problems that many long time simmers are facing in upgrading from FS2002 to FS9!Thank goodness that drivers are being re-issued with some of these problems fixed :-)Many of these issues are unique to FS9 and do not apply to "all simulators", not even FS2002!Lets keep this discussion going until the problems are history!

HiiAs an example should be discussed in PSS forumBecause 52.16 absolutely terrible for PSS A 3xxx planesI hv gone back 45.23 immediately.all my besthasanNvidia FX5600 Ultra eVGA producer

I'm having similar problems with the FS Learning Center menu and the list of saved flights in the Flight Planner. When I try to scroll through these the information gets messed up and I can't select anything. This has happened to me twice with the 52.16 drivers. I will try the windowed mode work around I guess.Anyone else experience this problem with the FS menus?

I tried 'em, but can't use them. Got a huge FPS boost, but after about 10 minutes my computer freezes up and needs a push of the "reset" button. This happens with or without the sim running. Just sitting at idle with no programs running and the 'puter locks up. The 52.16s make my video card run hot--about 25 degrees hotter than the 45.32 drivers. Don't know why this is, but it does render these drivers useless to me.Oh well! :(Darrell
