holy crap those are amzing! Thank you a million for posting the link.

I'll second that WOW!! These are just incredible.

i just installed them, they are breathtaking!! You have to be careful that you don't get wet feet... :-)I never was happy with the default FS9 water, but now i'm a happy camper!!Don't forget to thank Bill for his work!Happy flying,Michael

KILLER! Do i notice a performance increase as well? I usually have problems with full water detail, not noticable now. The new textures are considerably smaller than the original, maybe thats why.I LOVE EM!thanks Bill, you rule.joe

REMARKABLE! :-beerchug

Hmmm ... could it finally be time to get rid of my GeForce 2? I can't see nuffink like wot the piccies show.Bill says these can only be seen by cards that support DirectX 9; I have 9b installed but I guess that is some light years ahead of what Nvidia bunged into my GeForce 2. Haven't a clue. Anyway, when I run FS and try to wind up the Water Slider to max, it keeps resetting itself to low. Is my computer telling me something, I wonder?Mark "Dark Moment" BeaumontMy specs:Big grey box in the corner with a coffee on topGeForce 2 MX 100/200 64MB (I know that much)Whizzy hard drive that makes a lot of noise oftenLoud fan (not the wife, the thing with blades)Computer compliant keyboard with most letters although some are stickyYoke and pedals that make my friends think I'm weirdLots of wires full of dog hair and sometimes dogBig screen thingy with hotlink to Disney website which screws up landings often (thanks, kid)Ejecting coffee table (cool, that) that also takes Disney DVDs3 1/2" floppy thing, but I don't think that's any of your businesshttp://www.swiremariners.com/newlogo.jpg

But this one is truly memorable! And yes, it might be time to upgrade that video card. These new water textures are a sight to behold. Look fantastic, and very framerate friendly. Thanks Bill and Lynn,

Why do the best files always come out while I'm at work. Now I've got to make it through another 6 hours before I can try these for myself.Drats.

I agree, great sig Mark! LOL (no wonder FS9 doesn't do well for ya! LOL ;-) )Anyone know if the G4 4600 is DX9 compliant? I installed these yesterday on my design PC with uses a Radeon 7200, and got no results, which I figured, I guess the DX9 cards are only the FX series and the ATI 9XXX series, correct?Regards, MichaelKDFWhttp://mysite.verizon.net/res052cd/mybannercva1.jpgCalVirAir International VAwww.calvirair.comCougar Mountain Helicopters & Aviationwww.cgrmtnhelos.com

Hi Micheal, FS9 uses DirectX 8 and the bumpmaping is not available anymore with all the GeForce 2 series and the GeForce 4 MX series that are only DirectX 7 compliant. All card that`s supports DirectX 8, will have the bumpmaping. All gforce 4 series works, except the Mx version.Fs2004 use directX 8 and very very few of 9. It can introduce bad performance also by using the Mx and gforce2 version.ThanksChris WillisFSW GROUP[link:fsw.simflight.com/FSWMenuFsSim.html|Clouds And Addons For MsFs

Thanks Chris!! Good to know!I am actually getting good results using a Radeon 7200 64 mb card on my design PC, but yeah, some details I can't full advantage of.Regards, MichaelKDFWhttp://mysite.verizon.net/res052cd/mybannercva1.jpgCalVirAir International VAwww.calvirair.comCougar Mountain Helicopters & Aviationwww.cgrmtnhelos.com
