I hope you are aware that this will mean Christmas 2011. http://www.captainsi...?num=1283263156I found 25 Euros for the complete B--52 package to be a fair offer.
No sale? Bummer! I was going to buy 2 planes. No $$$ for Captain Sim then.

I bought it and it's well worth the money. The VC is awesome and includes the entire upper deck.Doesn't have a 2d panel. That's good!It seems to be a lighter version with only the "necessary to fly"functions modeled. But there's still plenty of switches to flipand buttons to push. Learning curve is moderate.Frame rate hit is about the same as the default aircraft, maybe justa little more. Far less than the CS C-130 FPS hit. It's another great Captain Sim quality aircraft and well worth every penny.
Couldn't have said better. Like this beast!

Hey Captain Sim how about fixing the issues with the 727 including the inability to enable winglets on the freighter models??? Apparently creating a VC and entire airplane takes less time to release than a small update to the 27...

I've been flying the BUFF since the weekend and am having a lot of fun. I have an old B-52 flight manual and the flight deck/instuments are nicely representative compared to what is shown in the manual. The designers appranently made use of a manual in developement, which is something I really appreciate. The flight charactericts seem to be improved a lot from the 747-based exterior first release. Even though it may not be an exact reproduction, I really like the ground mapping radar display. GW

If you ever run out of neat little buttons to push there, include the Civa INS and get some more. Big%20Grin.gif
Shoot, a fellah could have a pretty good weekend in Vegas with all that stuff..
Having read some of the issues on the CS forum it seems people cant even get the thing started or atleast firing on all engines. What do you all make of it, in terms of realism and reliability/glitchesTom
Starting is more a matter of common sense, there is quite a pause between hitting the start switch and seeing the engine/s come up to speed. If I managed to do it prior to finding the manuals anyone can.During my first flight the idiot of a co pilot managed to shut down all 4 stbd engines (playing with fuel transfer/feed). I managed to recover without too much altitude loss.So far I think it's a great model and well worth a miserable $30 USD.

Bruce

Thank you CoolP, have had 2 successful, if not hair raising, flights using the information provided here and over at ORBX. The terrain radar power had me stumped as well as a number of 'dummy' switches.Definately a challenge first up being a solo pilot, cured any boredom and worth every cent.
Yes indeed, worth every penny.
