December 17, 201015 yr I fly mostly between KLAX, KLAS, KDFW, KJFK, KBOS, and KBUF. I go between these airports because I have FSDT/FlyTampa scenery for them (except KLAX, waiting on FSDT for that one).My favorite is the PMDG MD-11, but my fleet includes the following:PMDG MD-11XPMDG 747-400XPMDG 747-800PMDG 747 LCFPMDG JS4100FSLabs ConcordeXSimCheck A300Level D 767Leonard MD-80CS 707CS 727-100/200fCS 757-200/200fCS 767-300CS C130Wilco 737 PICFeelThere E-Jets Vol 1VRS F/A-18EAerosoft F-16Lotus L-39RealAir Duke There is a whole world to explore OUTSIDE of the United States. December 17, 201015 yr I go anywhere with good scenery, really. For VFR flights, usually Australia and the parts of North America covered by ORBX and FSAddon's Tongass X. For IFR and tubeliners, mostly Europe or North America since UTX+GEX works great when viewed from the flight levels, and there is a lot of good addon airports to choose from. Most of Asia, Africa, and South America I've never visited in FSX, since it is mostly default scenery. December 17, 201015 yr Author Wow what a question, so many to chooseStill haven't learned the PMDG MD-11, can fly their 747 blind folded though, my favorite heavy iron.I usually fly the 747F in routes flown by Cargolux, UPS, or Atlas Air/Polar. Sometimes Kalitta in their 747 converted freighter.Lately picked up all the Orbx North American scenery and hopping around various airports in either the Carenado Super Cargomaster or Flight1 Pilatus PC-12 if I need a little more speed.Still go back to the Hawaiian airports by FSDreamteam, island hopping is fun, just wish there was more detailed Hawaiian terrain scenery. Use the PC-12, Cargomaster, or RealAir Duke.Sometimes hop around Europe trying to get good use out of all the addon airports I have from there in the PMDG 747 or PC-12Once KLAX comes out I will fly more big iron again with Cargolux routes especially in North America.Still want to get around to learning how to fly the PMDG MD-11 and Eaglesoft Citation XHoping Captain Sim release an update for a few nagging issues to fly their 727F around the Pacific for Asia Pacific Airlines Cargo and around the US/Canada for FedEx/Morningstar/Kelowna Flightcraft/Cargojet/AmerijetI love this sim!!Absolutely!!!! It's great fun. I started a company now in AH and I'm kind of looking froward to get bigger planes. I fly the MD11F FedEx pretty much. I like the system setup and how it works.727 in the pacific?? Wow.... When I think of the pacific, the first thing that pops into my mind is vast ocean areas and long flights. It's limited how much freight you can take, isn't it????I have alot of experience with the 747 400F from Korean Air Cargo. Not as a pilot but as a ground worker.Keep it fast and high. Merry Christmas to everyone :) If anyone spots Santa up in the sky, say hi from me!! Kjetil H Jensen
December 17, 201015 yr There is a whole world to explore OUTSIDE of the United States.Yes, and I sometimes do flights in other areas (For Globe Cargo I was flying all over the world), but I have SceneryTech USA, GEX USA, and UTX USA, as well as quite a few US airports by FSDT and FlyTampa. For these reasons, the rest of the world is not quite as good as the US. Plus, I fly on VATSIM which is mostly staffed in the US and Europe. Shane Gavin
December 17, 201015 yr Moderator Like some of the other fellows mentioned I typically fly between any of the addon airports I own, or if I have to use a default airport it will be one of the ones the MS dedicated as an extra detailed airport like KSEA or KLAX. Doing so was hard when I first got FSX because there weren't a lot of good 3rd party airports for it, but as of late its getting a lot easier to use only 3rd party airports since more content has hit the market.Typically I fly mostly in the US between my FlyTampa, ImagineSim, or FSDT offerings, however my second favorite place to fly is either to Central or South America. If I am in South America, my favorite short flight is in Brasil from Sao Paulo (SPSP) to Rio (SBRJ), although the only a/c I can fly that route in is either the Ejets 170/190 or PMDG JS4100 since you cant land anything much larger at SBRJ than a 737. Or I will do a longer flight that I have done in real life which is from KMIA to Rio (SBGL) or Sao Paulo (SBGR) to KDFW.When I fly in Europe I generally fly between Germany, Switzerland and Austria since that is where the majority of my addon airports are. I'm stil waiting for some stuff for Russia to come out for FSX.As far as a/c that I typically fly, its usually between the PMDG 747 or LDS 767. Although I love the PMDG JS4100, its just a tad bit too slow for me to fly it on routes anymore than about 100 to 150 miles. Once the PMDG 737NGX comes out, that will be my primary a/c since that is the only one I have really been missing from my FS9 days and I can fly it into all my airports, unlike the 747 or 767.
