They don't come here for imformation about petty squables between Ariane and it's employees (paid or unpaid).
I just don't understand this. Jeremy comes in here to show courage, and you try to shoot him down in flames. This is a simulation forum, not a "defend developers at all costs" forum. If this thread was opened with an honest statement about what happened, then I feel Jeremy has a right to share it. We can never judge someone's honesty and integrity just from words typed on the Internet, but I feel Jeremy committed no wrong in the way he stated his post. If anything, the post should encourage people to still buy the product if they can get over issues of support. Some of us can enjoy a product without the need of hand holding or support, some do need support, and some need a lot. Buyers still have a choice. I'd probably buy their products too if they were priced in the range of products I buy, and if they were in the niche of products I enjoy. They don't fall into either category, I enjoy GA commercial products because that equals my flying experience in real life. So I won't tell people what to do regarding Ariane any more. Moreover, I won't come in here and tell a guy with courage that he doesn't have a right to share his story.John

I am no sup[ported of Ariane

As I said in another, now locked, thread "Having just read Ariane's published terms and conditions, I wouldn't touch that firm with the proverbial barge-pole...
Nor am i a supporter of an ex-employee of Ariane who comes here to whine after he's fallen out with it. Ariane's reptation has been well known for as long as I've been a member here.

Just playing Devil's advocate here to the OP's post. You say you were removed from the forums altogether. Did you try to contact them to find out why? It is possible when they went to remove you from the protected forums at your request, they may have accidentally removed you completely. I do agree their product is pretty good, but overpriced for what you get. I knew that going in though. Being a programmer myself, I usually can figure out any setup configuration issues myself, so I very rarely need any support from a developer. So I haven't had the need to deal with them myself.

Thanks

Tom

No but you are acting like your usual tool self.

I posted a minute too late. It should have been right after Gerry's post. Nothing against you!

Ok.. I won't ask you who's Gerry ;)I have a bad day today. It's obvious. Sorry for that.Again, I agree people should post their experiences with companies and developers. There's nothing wrong with that. I always check the forums before I buy something. It doesn't mean I won't buy something if some people are not happy with the product.. it just means that I know what to expect. Sometimes people are right, sometimes are not. That's just the way it is.

Actually, I do have an e-mail from them about it, quite shocking actually. But I wont post what was said until I have received a response. You'll just have to take my word on it for now...it's pretty bad.

The OP's story is quite simple: we have another data point on Ariane which can be used to reject the null Hypothesis...H0: There's nothing wrong with Ariane, it's all in your head! :( Thanks for sharing your story.

JBZ,Just a suggestion that you keep the details between you and the powers that be over there. Nothing good can come out of this and your unique story has come through loud and clear!

Christ, are you always like this? :(

You are absolutely right and I think I will now that it has been taken to the next level. After reading the e-mail, I was appalled at the threats being thrown at me. In the last hour I have consulted an attorney and he has advised me to send them a threatening response as well. I can't believe a hobby (especially one I passionately enjoy) has been taken to the level where I have to hire an attorney. What has this world come too? I will not discuss any further matters on this subject as now it's a legal battle.

You'll spend more time and energy on this than what it's worth.
