REX2 is B.S (Speed drops and gains)

Featured Replies

REX2 has been giving me problems since I got it 2 months ago. Dont get me wrong, The graphics are great but the one thing I cant handle, is the random speed drops that I get for no reason and the rude creator of REX who banned me from forums and refused to help a paying costumer. I use PMDG all the time and I set everything up like it's suppose to be. I get up to 10 thousand feet fine and and as soon as I get to 20 , my speed droppes and my climb becomes extremely slow then fast when speed jumps back up and ect. I did a KLAX to YSSY flight today and I ended up quiting 1 hour into the flight because my speed is just randomly dropping 1 kt after another til I hit stall. I do use FSUIPC and I do have it set up to run with REX and PMDG. Please Im looking for answer how to solve this as soon as possible so I can fly FS today without knowing Im just gonna stop like 20 minutes into flght. I ACTUALLY WANNA ENJOY FLIGHT SIM TODAY !!!! :(

I think ppl need more info here to help you out. Do you have the same problems with another plane or with PMDG and without REX? I honestly find it hard to believe this would be a REX problem but then again FSX'es ways are mysterious...

Maybe a good idea to inform what kinda hardware you have?Could be a set-up/tuning/tweak issue...

I believe there was an issue like this with ASE, it was related to outside temperature drop (too hot) at altitude. Is there a way for you to monitor what the outside temp is when this happens? or better yet, can you disable the REX weather engine and check if the problem still exists? the information you provide is not enough to determine that REX is actually the cause! there are HUNDREDS using REX here WITHOUT ANY ISSUES myself included. So careful when using BS in your post title!

use fsupic to disable turbulence and smooth winds and pressure changes, this same thing happens sometimes with ase, so it isn't just rex.

It's every plane Ive got on FSX and I also have a friend who's experiancing this problem.
HI;If you use BS on the REX forum it explains why you were banned.REX is a great piece of software. It works fine with most of us. I have a 6 year old computer and don't experience any performance issueIt must be something else...
No I didnt get banned for using BS on my forum, I got banned because he's rude and refuses to help me when ive given him all the info he needed, but great guess :( Its not something else I gurantee it. I have friends who have this problem. :(

It's a brand new computer and all I added was an extra 2 gig's of memory and a Nvidia 8800 GS . Its not a set up or tweak or tuning issue. Its jus REX that throws the crazy wind at you and tells fsx a weather that just causes my speed to drop.

The outside temp for this flight I did this morning from KLAX to YSSY showed -15 C and Im not the only one with this issue, Ive read MANY other posts and I have a friend who has this same problem with his computer .

Yup I did all of that and the same thing happens. It's always losing like 30 kts and then it will bounce up and then lose speed then bounce up.IVE TRIED FSUIPC AND OTHER THINGS BUT IM STILL LOSING KTS AND GAINING KTS IN THE MOST WEIRDEST WAYS AT ROCK SOLID CRUISING ALT. IVE ALSO NOTICED THAT WHEN REX UPDATES, IT SLIGHTLY LAGS.

You have a registered version of fsuipc?

Yes, I have everything registered, no torrents, no viruses, nothing that can possibly mess up fsx or pmdg or CS or REX.

this is how FS real-weather works. there are known issues and problems when one transitions from one weather 'zone' to another. there is NO addon weather engine, or FSUIPC, that can 100% correct the faults in FSX you hope for about 90% correction.it would also be nice if you stopped SCREAMING. a few bolds a one of two caps are OK for emphasis ... but all caps makes for a poor post.--

you still haven't answered some basic questions -OS version.install path for FS.hardware: CPU, GPU, memory--

I agree, REX2 is BS.......Beyond Spectacular. Anywho, I'd be interested in knowing if this has anything to do with REX or not. I had a similiar issue in FS9, but it turned out that something got goofy with FSUIPC, so I just reinstalled it.
