October 31, 200322 yr Commercial Member Hello, we are glad to announce that our long-dated project "Antonov An-24RV" is getting really close to the release. If you know already our An-24B, An-26 and An-30, you'll notice only few changes in the exterior visual model : the right engine nacelle contains now a little complementary jet engine (this is the main difference between An-24RV and An-24B), the rear cargo door can be opened, the nose opens too (in maintenance mode) and glass cleaners are functional. The plane got also automatic propellers feathering (when an engine stops airborne). But the main improvements are inside. The aircraft has now a fully functional virtual cockpit and a cabin. The 3D instruments panel is based on the Bocharnikov/Gritsevsky panel (included in An-26 and An-30 packages), so it is quite complex. You'll surely need to read the included manual. The panel comes in its new version 1.3, compatible with FS9. In spite of the complexity of the virtual cockpit, the model is perfectly flyable from it. The textures are now almost ready (but not completely)We plan to release An-24RV next week after a beta-testing. November 1, 200322 yr This is an unbelievable airplane. First is a great design and second the flight here is better than a lot of payware. I only wish it had a cheaters version (english cockpit.) The Russian lettering causes me a lot of difficulty though it is fantastic.I wonder if it will work with FSNav? If it would I would think it is the most perfect airplane on my HD.Eric AND
November 1, 200322 yr Commercial Member >Simply amazing looking VC. Are the nav/engineer stations>functional? :)Navigator's panel is functional. Radio and engineer's panels aren't. In fact, there is no single engineer's on the plane, but several pieces in different places. You can call all of them in pop-up windows.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/46366.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/46367.jpg

November 1, 200322 yr Commercial Member The plane is compatible with FS2002. The panel is another story. In fact, we'll include the latest version (1.3) made for FS2004, so it isn't sure it works in FS2002. However, this version is intermediate, since some instruments don't work yet in FS2004, namely the VOR indicators. Mr Gritsevsky is working on it.Some nightshots...
