January 11, 201115 yr I've just installed Windows Vista via Boot Camp on my 27" iMac and am running the JS4100 in FSX. At a resolution of 2560 x 1440 the virtual cockpit is just stunning! On previous PMDG products I've only ever used the 2D views, and I'm struggling a bit to navigate around the virtual cockpit whilst flying at the same time. Can anyone offer me any tips? I only have a CH yoke, magic mouse and keyboard. Thanks in advance!Martin Neep
January 11, 201115 yr TrackIR or fs2crew Voice Commander for J41 is solution, I really recommend that second option!
January 11, 201115 yr Commercial Member We have some preset views there too, right click and select "Cockpit" and there's multiple views like overhead, pedestal etc.EZ Dok camera addon is nice for setting up views too. I'm actually in the process of making some official PMDG EZ Dok config files for our planes. Look for that, there will be one for the J41. NGX will actually come with them by default. January 12, 201115 yr Commercial Member You can also (when you don't want to click on anything) hit shift-O (or maybe control-O, I can't remember) and that puts you in a free-look mode with your mouse. Vin Scimone Precision Manuals Development Group www.precisionmanuals.com

January 13, 201115 yr Commercial Member I have posted some full flight videos on you tube if you want to see the track Ir in action with the Jetstream. Just finished up loading the early this morning. oops forgot to give you som links. Here you go Really great videos there Kevin! If you didn't figure it out already, the reason you were getting the INVALID that confused you on the VNAV pages is because you're actually supposed to activate the route on the NAV page first (which you did after the VNAV page). There's no active first waypoint until you do that and that's why you see the INVALID. Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com

August 9, 201114 yr You can also (when you don't want to click on anything) hit shift-O (or maybe control-O, I can't remember) and that puts you in a free-look mode with your mouse. Map [shift-O] to a button on your yoke or joystick and you have a quick -- and cheap -- way of panning around the VC -> click the button to pan, click to use the mouse. I also hit [ (which is the "left bracket") and after making sure it has focus, zoom in on the EIS so that I can keep an eye on the EGT whichever part of the VC I'm looking at. This makes shutting down the engines easier also. Make sure to refocus the VC after resizing and moving the extra EIS window. Happy flights guys. Cheers -- Peter Edrupt
